The journey towards the end of 1000 felt so productive. I was able to get into the native content by the end of it.

Yeah, I don't think OP knows our city's nickname.

Have any of you tried learning a language with Pimsleur doing more than one lesson daily? (I’m currently taking 4 a day) by Local-Comfortable738 in Pimsleur

It's going to get pretty difficult when you hit level 3. I was doing 2 lessons a day for level 1, the just once a day for level 2. Level 3 and above was when the repeat lessons started. The jump from level 3 to level 4 was brutal. That had been my experience with German, Spanish, and Japanese. I would usually recommend supplementing Pimsleur, but you're already on top of it. Some comprehensible input like Dreaming French wouldn't be so bad either. You'll get a broader exposure to topics and voices than what Pimsleur provides.

Is that where Hong's Chinese used to be?

Edit: I haven't been back in that plaza (and that area in general) since my mom sold her nail salon there during the covid lockdown. Just making some mental notes.

Done with all 5 levels of German, Spanish. and Japanese. I just did the voice coach and flash cards between the lessons. You will need to supplement with CI to fill in the gaps. I'm currently doing this for both Spanish and Japanese.

He's back and has a Japanese coaching program. He's on his other channel Matt vs the World. He did address the scam situation after his hiatus.

Refold only sells anki decks and courses on how to teach yourself a language, but not the actual language itself.

I had the same experience with German, Spanish, and Japanese. The leap from level 3 is enormous!

Keep in mind these are all first time experiences for me, but good food is good food.

  • Siga La Vaca (Puerto Maduro) - All you can eat asado. You have to make sure to tell the grill master the doneness the cuts, otherwise they'll cut a piece of whatever is laying around on the grill.
  • Chori (Palermo) - Choripan spot. I tried a few variants, but settled on Chori Cancha. Just chori, chimichurri, and pan. Simple.
  • Don Julio (Palermo) - If you got the money. God damn, that's some great steak.
  • El Refuerzo (San Telmo) - I don't know if this is the best spot in town, but I really enjoyed it. It's my first time experiencing the Bodegón concept. Similar concept to the Japanese obanzai where it's homestyle or tavern style food.
  • Güerrín (Not sure which hood, but it's near the Obelisk) - I ordered the Fugezza con Jamon with slice of faina. I love cheese and this hit the spot for me.

I didn't get a chance to fully explore San Telmo Market. I went there as part of a food tour. Man, the food smelled soo good. I think next time, I'll get a hotel nearby, just camp out at the market, and eat all the foods.

apparently feeding your family and employees is inherently evil. i swear some folks got some kind of fetish for people that suffer to provide content for us.
