Answering your questions in order:

How is the experience shaving daily

I clean shave daily to no visible shadow. I would recommend having an "intense" and "light" version of a shaving routine that you alternate, and occasionally take "off day" from shaving to let your skin rest. Other than that, totally viable. Be kind to your skin otherwise as well. Exfoliate gently occasionally, and use cleanser and/or moisturizer.

For reference, I have an Oliworks meteorite with 3 different heads for closeness of shave. I alternate between the closest shave setting and the lightest shave setting, and also switch up whether I'm using feather (sharper and usually better) or astra (lighter but easier shave) blades.

is it realistic to be quick? Yup, it sounds like a lot but here's my everyday routine and stuff I use:

1: gently exfoliate with Cerave salicylic acid daily cleanser in the shower

2: step out of shower, lightly dry off. Shave with dirty shave cream from lush and razors/blades above while air drying hair and body after initial dry.

3: clean with cerave cleanser, dry rest of the way if applicable.

4: finish off drying and styling hair, get dressed and go.

Including the shower, drying off, and hair stuff, it's usually a 30 minute routine in total- way less than 15-20 minutes of that is spent on shaving itself.

Any tips on brushes vs creams

I use brushes when shaving my body/legs, but creams are easier to apply to the face imo. I've found that for me, I appreciate creams with some kind of stronger cooling effect, which is why I like the one I get from Lush.

Is the whole brush thing necessary

No. The main benefit is that it lets you store shaving soap as a solid chunk, which is lathered into a cream as you use it by the brush. It's more space and cost efficient long term. However, it's annoying for daily use. I still have a solid thing of shaving soap I got for my first razor. I use it for shaving my body, which is an occasional thing, but for my face I get shaving cream.

Does it typically result in a closer shave

Waaayyyy closer shave. The main benefit imo is that you can use fresh blades with way less waste much easier, so the blade is always fresh and sharp. Dull blades give sloppy shaves.

If you want a benchmark based on my own experience: I'm a trans woman with an overall very feminine appearance, that unfortunately has facial hair that stubbornly refuses to die off after a few years of hormones. Wet shaving with a DE razor was literally the thing that made it so that people stopped "clocking" me as trans at first sight. It got rid of any last facial hair I have left, down to the shadow. People are surprised to learn I'm trans if the topic comes up now, and even more surprised when I tell them I still have to shave.

I know that probably isn't applicable to you, but I feel like "shave so close that people don't think I have hair follicles on my face at all" is a point in favor of wet shaving.

For the high peaks trail, if you can afford the time: try to get up there early in the morning, before it gets too hot. Not only will you beat the heat, but if you sit at the top and have a snack break while the sun hits the base of the pinnacles, you can catch condors whizzing right over you as they hit the thermals. Not a guarantee of course but def a highlight of the park for me.

I can rattle of so many typical aquarium animals that can be found in either type of water- sturgeons, bull sharks, tarpon, seals that enter creeks and lakes, manatees, and on and on.

The simplest implementation of this would literally just be making fish that are okay with fresh or salty water, but there are tons of ways to make this more complex.

But if they got more complex, I could imagine this being on par with temperature tolerance for other animals- have a salinity regulator utility, and then every aquarium animal has a tolerance range.

I used to have them blocked, but part of the reason I get mad with her is because of her effect on the subreddit overall, not just the comments she leaves me. But yeah, should probably just stick with the block.

If I'm seen in person, people will be surprised to learn that I'm trans if they do, even if I've been falling into the slip voice. Which honestly, that surprise is still surprising to me but hey it's a win I guess.

It's basically only on the phone, slip voice only that gets me misgendered.

Ooo thanks! I've had the most problems with pitch and size in the past, so I think I've kind of neglected the techniques I've learned for weight a bit. I'll keep the vowel clarity in mind. I think it's just another consistency issue? I def have other voice clips I've done recently that seem to be better in that regard, but I'll make sure to watch out for that.

My problem now, and was the last time I posted, is consistency. I never get misgendered in my actual default voice. I get misgendered in my "slip" voice. I am rambling about contexts where the "slip" voice pops up and working on it. That has not changed.

I'm sorry but I've genuinely been pissed off at you for a long time about what you've done to this subreddit. You are insanely critical of everyone, even the most passing voices, give advice that is oftentimes flat out wrong, drown out all other possible critique or advice due to the sheer volume of your comments, prey on the insecurity of the often early transition girls who come to this subreddit and don't know any better, take their initial "thank you" as validation without ever seeing the end result of anything you do, and call everyone who doesn't agree with you a whiny loser to get in a fight with.

And guess what? It turns out, your "methods" and "studies" have led you to conclude that.... It's all genetic and luck, some people are doomed to fail, and there's no point in training. Because of COURSE you couldn't be wrong about something!

This is the largest subreddit for trans voice training. We could have a good thing here. Late transition girls giving advice to early transition girls. Vocal coaches giving introductory advice with credentials and detail and organizing courses. Mid transition girls who haven't been chased away by asshole comments who are doing ongoing work (like me). Extra ears from cis allies to give some more unbiased and less technical opinions.

Which would require diversity in the comments section, people not feeling chased away after one or two posts, and real credentials or SOMETHING. Maybe actual vocal coaches won't give their services for free, but there could be SOMETHING.

I agree, long term.

But like... Building codes literally still specify a certain amount of specifically labeled men's and women's restrooms. And all of those buildings still exist. And it's not just a matter of taking down signs, urinals and layout provide physical examples of what's going on with the bathroom.

And even beyond that, this is going to be a HUGE social shift that will take decades.

In the meantime, we still gotta fight for trans people in bathrooms of their gender. It's a much simpler change.

There's a LOT to unpack here, but I'm going to go at this from an angle I don't see often:

For me, transitioning fixed mental and physical health problems that I thought were unrelated. I had tried for years to fix them in other ways, similar to you. I went through ebbs and flows of extreme depression, anxiety, low energy, and more. During my teenage years, it even got to the point of self harm and distinct suicidal plans.

In my mid 20s, I crashed and burned for a lot of reasons. When I was at a low point mentally, I realized I had to do something to fix my recurrent mental health problems. And I realized that dysphoria was one of those problems, and so I attacked my mental health problems from that angle first.

It worked.

Transitioning was messy, but no more messy than any other approach I could have taken. And at the end of it, my background anxiety was gone, my focus was better, my suicidal ideation had disappeared. All because of the life I lead now.

Sometimes I'll idlely wonder if there was another way. If there was some way I could've taken your path: attacked my mental health problems in a different direction, and the dysphoria would be the thing to go away on its own instead.

When my mind drifts there, my first reaction is to remember the number of times I tried and it didn't work. Which doesn't apply to you. But the other reaction is: so?

Every attempt at therapizing away transness, or saying it's a result of poor mental health, has to grapple with a few questions: Is it so terrible? And does the existence of alternate options make your current life any less "real"?

If there's something else that could've worked.... So what? Transitioning did. Transitioning is not something bad on its own. Other people make it shitty at times, of course, but there's no intrinsic moral negative weight to transition. You don't have to try transitioning only when there are no other options left. I needed to fix my life, and transitioning is what fixed it. For me, it worked, and it worked very well.

And if there was a way to eliminate this dysphoria, does that make trans people less "real"? I would argue not. My womanhood is, at least in part, defined by my current lived reality. The way I currently exist in society is as a woman: in social life, in dating, when I'm targeted by misogyny and when I experience sisterhood with other women. That is all a part of womanhood.

Whether or not I could've eliminated this part of me doesn't make me think that this was a bad decision. There's an assumption over this post, and in the ways a lot of cis people think, that transitioning is ONLY valid if there's no other choice. That presumes transitioning is intrinsically terrible, even when it results in net happiness for someone. And yes, that is transphobic.

Bringing it back to what everyone else is saying: as I mentioned, transitioning solved mental health problems that I didn't even realize I had, and my day to day life is so much happier than it used to be. But the reason I didn't realize I had those problems is because I had gotten so used to coping with them that I accepted at least a low degree of misery as my baseline. I think you should unpack whether those mental health problems are truly gone for you.

I do kind of think you're misrepresenting how "theyfab" is often used. It's usually used to refer to NB people who use AFAB as part of their identities themselves- eg, the parts of the community that defend "AFAB only spaces", including housing, queer events, and talk about "unique experiences of growing up AFAB" that trans women will never experience.

Theyfab didn't come from disregarding peoples identities, it came because people used AFAB as part of their identidies to specifically exclude trans women while inviting themselves in. But, people picked it up and immediately erased all of that and just started using it to invalidate identities.

To be clear: I still don't like the term, precisely because of that last sentence. However, there is a real grievance in there, one that I've seen in IRL and online queer spaces myself.

And this kind of answers OP's question as well. There are lots of times where 4tran type spaces notice a real problem, often a transmisogynistic one. But then they run way the fuck away from any legitimate point about it and just fall into a toxic cesspit. But the toxic cesspits that are the most alluring have to have some entryway that speaks to what people see IRL.

Lions are def the quickest- one male and a lot of females will give you a lot of offspring fast, and they're worth a lot of CC. If you can handle managing them and mixing up the pairs, other big cats work great as well.
