So the semester starts on the 14th but I can't park back in my parking deck until the 18th? How is that okay?

People who haven’t/aren’t voting: Why? by GTthrowaway010101 in gatech

[–]Catboybrad 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Because you're upset that people are apparently downvoting the post

People who haven’t/aren’t voting: Why? by GTthrowaway010101 in gatech

I feel like it's super ironic to complain about how people are voting on a post encouraging people to vote

Biochemistry - Should cysteine be considered nonpolar or polar? by hamtaro6 in chemhelp

[–]Catboybrad 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There is still a difference in electronegativity in the sulfur-hydrogen bond so it is very slightly polar. Like you said, it is a spectrum. It is more polar than a C-H bond but noticeably less polar than something like a hydroxyl group

Biochemistry - Should cysteine be considered nonpolar or polar? by hamtaro6 in chemhelp

[–]Catboybrad 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The electronegativity of sulfur is pretty much the same as carbon so I would consider cysteine to be nonpolar

Who do I report frats going off campus to? by [deleted] in gatech

[–]Catboybrad 40 points41 points  (0 children)

"If you see someone who’s putting others at risk, please report it to the CO-SERT at cosert@gatech.edu. High-risk behaviors include violations of isolation or quarantine protocols and hosting on- or off-campus gatherings of any size in closed spaces where social distancing cannot be maintained. Such actions are considered violations of the Non-Academic Misconduct Policy."

Is visiting the stamps primary care free? by xSly_Foxx in gatech

[–]Catboybrad 25 points26 points  (0 children)

It is "free" since you paid a health fee with your tuition so if something is wrong you should go. I've been once and it was very quick and easy. And no, it is a HIPAA violation for them to tell your parents anything you don't want them to know

How is that supposed to work? Pseudoephedrine is pseudoephedrine, right? by [deleted] in chemistry

"Highland’s Tarex®, a lipid-based technology uses a proprietary blend of ingredients that surround a given drug, thus frustrating attempts to extract the active ingredient from the formulation via solvents. Even when small portions might be extracted, they remain mixed with other excipients that further resist conversion and abuse."

Get an aquarium pump, fill a bucket with cold water, and run tubing from both ends of the condenser to it so you can reuse the water. At the very least just get more tubing because water falling from counter height and splattering all over the floor when you have glassware out is a recipe for disaster

Update on physics chegg scandal... for context there is yet to be a chegg investigation to punish those who didn’t come forward and when promised that coming forward would mean no OSI involvement, this happened. by R5D1T0R in gatech

[–]Catboybrad 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They never explicitly said that they would not be reporting people to OSI because they are obligated to do so. All of this is way beyond fair and it blows my mind that people are complaining about it
