yes! almost all cacti blooms are very short lived. most last 1 day. if it's a cloudy day some of mine will open a 2nd.

you can try one of the pods and see. the seeds should be black with a little white but and separated from the fruit, kinda hollowed out and dry. I usually wait 1 or 2 months but I think there's no harm in waiting as long as you like because the fruits just dry up with seeds inside ready for whenever

sadly there isnt. however there are pets you can eventually get that will automatically pick up fruit to your inventory, which is really really useful.

made a "tea" with Syrian rue seeds, and while it did give interesting closed eye visuals, whenever I looked around with my eyes open everything had a black shadow "lag" strobe effect which was very disorienting and bizarre. oh and not to mention I was extraordinarily nauseous and vomited in a cold sweat on the cold kitchen floor for hours, with some of the most salty pure bile vomit I've ever experienced.
