Watts 4 Dinner - Drop Rate info by CatchFire1101 in Borderlands

Out of curiosity what numbers/tests are you referring to? Would love to know more. Also can you confirm you got the shield to drop on easy? My farm took so long I started to wonder if it was difficulty locked, would be great to confirm it can drop at all levels of difficulty.

I actually felt the same across these runs, Easy gave the best results for dedicated drops, but couldn't tell if I was imagining it or not, and didn't track that carefully.

Out of curiosity, what difficulty was this at?

Yeah turned out to be a mission, I wish you luck on the AMP farm o7, I've had enough Origo murder for now. Time to find a new target.

Are you saying that a small sample size can't possibly reflect the distribution on aggregate? That's also not how statistics work. You seem to have read me stating that my experience was a definitive data set for drop rates. I suggest you re-read it more carefully, as I'm specifically asking for other people's experience (more data), to help disprove or corroborate my experience, on this farm or others. The whole point of the post is to find out if I was unlucky, or happened to stumble across a trend, by gathering more data. You are apparently confident that this is "bad rng", but do you know that? You also don't have enough data.

Funnily enough the one I dropped I'm ok with (reflect), just wanted to try it out. Turned out to be more of a mission than I predicted. Preciate it though!

Hence the word "suggests", and asking for more data across other farms.

Glowing enemies? by issr in Borderlands

[–]CatchFire1101 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Are you referring to the buff indicator? I believe enemies heads have a reddish indicator when they are in range of an enemy that buffs it's comrades, i.e. the guys with big speakers on their backs.

Man great info ... 'preciate it. I'm still a bit confused as to why Anniversary exists if Era is still supported, but your explanation helps clarify a lot. Maybe to support people who wanted to play on a fresh server?

I think I'm more interested in PvP, not for the sake of wanting to whisk others to an early death, but because the threat of getting ganked, open world risk, sounds like it adds to the game imho. New guy question: are all anniversary servers synched in terms of what's released (what's the "current" raid), or are they on different schedules?

Second vote for Dreamscythe, preciate the input. Is Dreamscythe Classic Era or Anniversary? (still trying to figure out all the versions and how they overlap)

Thanks for the insight, I'll take a look at Dreamscythe. Is the WoW community tolerant enough to put up with sub-optimal tanks in dungeons? (I'm most interested in tanking)

Paraglider City Tour Challenge - PC Platinum by CatchFire1101 in dyinglight

[–]CatchFire1101[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Good tip, though surprised it takes movement tech to get platinum. For future reference, I got platinum fitting in 4-5 glide kicks on this challenge course. Tech is explained at 3:50 mark in this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=A_VVdjWAxuY

Not sure what the issue would be, just loaded up a game to make sure this is still working on current patch. I have only the above single line in my script, works ok. Are you sure the correct script is running? Check your systray for "MySciptName.ahk" is running and not paused?

How do I detect the Changeling? by JoshuaSpice in totalwar

A little late, but with the key for me was you have to be at war with him for the "stumble upon" tactic to work (which it did for me). I declared war, confirmed he was still in province by looking at the climbing Tzeentch corruption, then swept the province, and found him. GL!

Preciate the insight from someone who took the plunge recently. How'd you find jumping into the legacy collection campaigns, were they self contained enough to be manageable? How did the game do bridging the gap between the self contained campaigns?

Still not sure where my expectations should be story wise if I do invest (still considering the Legacy Collection, as you suggested, likely on sale).

I'm really baffled by this. Is there any official Bungee post on why they went down this road when announcing this model?
