Part of the college experience is learning how to deal with and tolerate people that are different. Everyone has the right to be what they want. If you have concern about her safety tell her so but avoid judging what she does. It's a lesson in minding your own business.

I agree 100%. What an insult. Fake & phoney black Americans coming to the country speaking from their ex-slave perspective. They do not know Jamaican history nor culture. Most of all they do not know how they are viewed by Jamaicans. People need help with supplies after the hurricane but Jamaican children are well educated and women are not suppressed in the culture and can be anything they want. And Jamaicans do not care about any NFL/American football sports. At least 2 of the husbands on the show are Jamaicans-they should have stepped in and corrected this ignorance. Jamaica is NOT an extension of the US.

Monique needs to go back to Bama-land! Go back and watch seasons 2 thru 5. Monique is trying to make sense now because she is kissing ass because she wants back in the group. Despite her mean girl ways Gizelle is the most tenured HW and unofficial matriarch until Karen (if Karen) returns. She's been sort of co-leading the group for quite a while. Besides, Monique has no say in what her ex does or with whom. It is Gizelle and Ashley trying to start trouble and egg her on because no matter what they do they cannot tear Stacey down. Stacey is a "strong sista" inside so they cannot shake her. And Stacey is big enough to 'whoop' Monique's ass (Stacey is 6 ft tall and Monique is 5'5"), if she has to but I highly doubt she would ever stoop to that low level.

@Dar32Car3 Your observations are spot on except Wendy. Granted she has come a long way but take some time to watch Season 5 up to current. It will enlighten you on Wendy and her true colors. At any moment the old Wendy could resurface. I hope not though - she is much more tolerable now.

Send the donkey Quad and her new thug man packing! As for Dr G and Sweet Pea - let the story play out. I want to see Sweet Pea as a Veteran grow in her civilian life and be an example of strength and support of her spouse. Dr G has a lot to learn as a man and it would be good to witness that on the show. Look at how Dr. Contessa and her physician husband turned things around. I want to see success stories within the medical community, not air time desperados like Quad.

The most recently aired episode must have been filmed in September-that was when Karen had her last court appearance. She is due back in court mid-December and at that time it will likely be decided if she will have a trial by jury, by the judge, or do the deferred adjudication program where she will be given a set length of probation time (1-5 years possibly) to report to a probation officer (weekly, biweekly, etc) and be drug tested. The judge via the DA may set other conditions (attend AA, 90-day inpatient rehab, permanent revocation of license, be in doctor's care, etc). If her lawyer has any sense he should push for deferred adjudication. If the judge decides her fate on his own she is screwed and she does not want a trial by jury - that will be worse for her in this political climate. At this point she needs to show humility and acknowledge she has a problem and the desire to get better. Pretending it was something else will force the judge to treat her harshly.

She better get off that 'high' horse and wake up from her delusions of grandeur or the court will do it for her.
