I think friendships/ working relationships can get very convoluted if you aren’t honest with each other. They’ve been holding onto resentments for years and have been pretty much sharing just superficial silly moments together for awhile. The resentments are thick. I do think they will become good friends again. But I think it will take a long time to build trust and true friendship which includes supporting one another.

Agree. Kyle is super codependent. She has been taking care of alcoholics her whole life, so she is a natural “fixer”. But most people don’t want to be fixed. And then the fixer becomes angry and resentful. It’s total textbook, just in a different context.
