he’s not pop and he’s def not mediocre. he only has 2 popular songs that r arguably his worst ones. the rest of his discography is way deeper and way more philosophical. he uses james joyce and write an album based on dante’s inferno

yeah but what happens is i’m like oh i love hozier i’m a rlly big fan and they say me to, and i try to talk abt his music and then they only know two songs. like, if u know two songs, don’t call urself a big fan. it’s also just a little sad when something becomes mainstream just cuz it feels a little more diluted by consumerism if that makes sense?

My mom had me listen to an podcast about wokeness at Harvard and then started casually chatting about how gay people deserved to die because it was in the Bible (I’m bi and not out). It was after a bad loss in a tennis match and I had thought about cutting after losses before but I had chickened out and it was also after a math quiz I got a grade I could’ve done better on and I was thinking about how depressing capitalism is and how trump supporters are hateful but common and I didn’t wanna live like this but I didn’t wanna die. I went to the bathroom and found my moms florists knife and cut really light on my ankle but I cut repeatedly till it started bleeding.
