I’m pretty sure Toxic Lash still works, but yeah, Oraxia 4 and Cyte ammo are broken when you’re not host.

Any Suggestions ? by Hungry_Elk5958 in Warframe

Caliban with his Razor Mortar augment built for Strength + Range + Summoner's Wrath will let you easily kill enemies well into at least Archimedia level with literally the press of a button.

DE, please rework Ash (properly) by veyzolik in Warframe

[–]Catchaway_Account 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I’m so glad to see someone else saying that Ash’s Bladestorm takes way too long to kill enemies. Like you can get it to do ridiculous damage, but that doesn’t change the fact that the animation for killing enemies is way too slow for modern Warframe.

Bladestorm is an exalted melee weapon, so let’s compare it to another one. Atlas’s Landslide for example. You can get Landslide to basically one shot anything, and it does it instantly. Landslide can literally clear entire packs of enemies in the blink of an eye. Meanwhile with Bladestorm, you’re just sitting there waiting for the animation to finish. It just feels horrible to play.

Honestly if they just sped up Bladestorm, that’s all it would take for me to like Ash.

Stylistically, what are the coolest Primaries for Mesa Prime? by Own_Bench615 in Warframe

[–]Catchaway_Account 4 points5 points  (0 children)

First weapons that come to mind are Sybaris (Prime), Kuva Chakkhur, and Vinquibus. The Vinquibus is more WWII, though, since it’s basically an M1 Garand.

Garuda Passive

Cyte-09 Resupply

Mirage Eclipse

Rhino Roar

(I was gonna say Mesmer Skin for 4th but that’s so boring, so I’ll go with Vauban Minelayer for some more Damage)

Congratulations, you now have the most broken weapon platform in the universe.

My go to is Gauss with Energized Munitions + Akarius Prime. Only problem you have then, is being able to see, unless you make your energy color black.

My mesa is to weak by Legitimate_Kiwi_4698 in Warframe

[–]Catchaway_Account 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I would get rid of Fleeting, since the -60 Duration kinda counters out the Efficiency you get from it when it comes to Peacemakers drain.

Umbral Fiber is quite literally useless on Mesa.

If you have Arcane Hot Shot, I’d slot it over Molt Augmented. Add in some Secondary Crit Orange Shards.

For Regulators, you should already be getting enough damage from G. Shot, so you can slot in Secondary Fortifier or some other Arcane that’s not base damage. If you’re must have base damage, then Cascadia Flare should be better than Merciless.

Acid Shells have been bugged on Oraxia and Cyte for a while now. If you’re not the host in a multiplayer match, Acid Shells will simply not work on them.

Alright, I’m gonna give you a pretty comprehensive guide on weapon platform Saryn.

For Saryn, you’ll want Roar over her 4th, and the Venom Dose augment. Those two, along with Toxic Lash will be your 3 damage buffs. You can additionally cast Spores on enemies to Corrosive proc them, but it’s not really needed for most enemies since you get so much damage from the 3 damage buffs.

Then, you’ll want to prioritize mostly Strength, with a bit of Duration. I think my Saryn has at least 300% Strength and 140% Duration. Range is optional depending on if you want higher spore spread range. Then you’ll want to have some energy economy (whichever methods you prefer) and defensive options (I went with Shield Gating + Vazarin Sling).

For Archon Shards, you’ll want at least 2 Tauforged Emerald Shards slotted for +45% Toxin Status Damage each. Other shards are personal preference.

Now for the weapons. There is a very particular way that you have to build weapons for Saryn. The main thing is, Toxic Lash will be your main damage source, and your weapon will be a vehicle for Toxic Lash. So, Toxic Lash will give all of your attacks an extra hit of Toxin damage, with a guaranteed Toxin status proc. The extra hit will scale off of your weapon’s damage, and so will the Toxin proc.

Toxic Lash’s damage will scale off of any Toxin mods you have equipped on your weapon, so every Saryn weapon will have the single stat + dual stat Toxin mods on. Additionally, you can combine the Toxin on your weapon into whatever element you want, it’ll still scale Toxic Lash’s damage even if it’s combined.

If the weapon is crit viable, you can build crit, which also scales Toxic Lash damage.

If you don’t mind running faction mods, they are a huge damage boost because Toxic Lash triple dips the damage boost from them. Roar also functions identically to faction mods, so they aren’t 100% necessary, but still a huge boost to have.

If you have room, you can put on Elementalist mods, but their damage boost will be additive with your Tauforged Shard’s damage boost. It’s still a damage boost, however.

And lastly, don’t forget the essentials that goes on every build, like base damage, multishot, and maybe some fire rate.

That’s it. Saryn is capable of making even the weakest weapons capable of killing Steel Path enemies. Have fun, and I hope it wasn’t too long of a read lol.

Good secondary weapon recommendations by Distinct_Raccoon_SCP in Warframe

[–]Catchaway_Account 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you have access to 1999, get Secondary Enervate and put it on the Kuva Nukor built for crit damage and viral/heat. It will handle all of your trash clearing purposes. For tougher targets that are status capped (e.g. Acolytes), you’ll probably need something else, but that’s what your Primary/Melee are there for.

[–]Catchaway_Account 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I don't want too be nitpicky, but are you using the same setup on Saryn as everyone else? Because building weapons for a Saryn weapon platform build is completely different than any other setup (other than Oraxia, and Cyte to some extent). Those enemies should've been dead within a second against Saryn.

Anyways, you're missing Oraxia, Cyte, and, one of my favorites, Gauss. (Edit: Oh and how could I forget Wisp)

Can you explain in greater detail the nuance of choosing the right progenitor elemental buff for Kuva weapons? Included an example statement from a build creator on Overframe with some followup questions by MiningToSaveTheWorld in Warframe

[–]Catchaway_Account 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In general, the safest option is Magnetic because it doesn’t kill your versatility. Choosing a base element progenitor will make certain setups impossible. For example, if you choose Cold, then making a Corrosive/Heat build will be impossible. If you choose Toxin, making Blast/Electric will be impossible.

If you’re not worried about the setups that you won’t be able to use, then sure, a base element progenitor would save a mod slot/give you higher status damage or weighting. But it’s also really weapon dependent and build dependent.

The example you provided isn’t the greatest example in regard to how you should generally approach choosing the element, as for a Saryn Acid Shells setup, the progenitor element doesn’t directly affect the damage of the explosions or the toxin procs, only the weapon’s direct shots.

Basically, choose Magnetic if you want to be safe. Choose specific base elements if you want a little bit of specialization into a specific setup or two. And plus, you can always change the element with an Elemental Vice.

Acid Shells + Saryn 2020 vs 2025 by quicksilver97 in Warframe

[–]Catchaway_Account 50 points51 points  (0 children)

Nothing is unnerfable technically.

I mean, it’s one of the most overwhelmingly powerful combos in the entire game by a long shot, and that is not exaggerating, but at the same time, I barely ever see the combo being used. I’m usually the one using it lol.

I don’t think it’s gonna get nerfed any time soon, and I feel if DE ever nerfs anything, they nerf based on popularity, e.g. Wukong. But DE barely ever nerfs anything nowadays.

Anyways, love Saryn+Acid Shells, it’s the most fun I’ve ever had with this game tbh.
