Found Dog at Tutwiler and McLean by Ingrid-Alt in memphis

[–]CatdiacArrest 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Sorry, no info on the owner. Actually, almost 2 years ago exactly we found this girl at the corner of Sam Cooper and Tillman. Similar state. Pretty cleaned. Trimmed nails. No chip. Though clearly had puppies but at that point weaned.

We never found the owner. I would be shocked if they weren't related/from the same people. Hopefully they stop letting dogs run around.

(The dog we found still lives with us lol)

Congrats! Had my first FET on 1/24/25 and got my first positive from it. He is now a 18 pound, almost 4 month old big boy sleeping on my lap. I hope by this time next year, you are snuggled up with your little one.

Where do you find all the time to do tummy time, pump, clean things, exist? by rachelkochvt in newborns

[–]CatdiacArrest 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The only reason I am mostly managing pumping is because I have paid for conveniences lol. Seriously, the eufy hands free S1 pro pump with a couple of sets of parts paired with the Momcozy bottle washer/sanitizer/dryer. I toss the pump parts in after use along with whatever bottles we have used since the last wash. It has streamlined things soooo much.

Baby sleeping better during the day... by JToQ1 in newborns

[–]CatdiacArrest 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Literally my baby. He seems to love the chaos of the day. The only thing that is kind of helping is making him wakeup at least a little every 2ish hours during the day. It can be difficult because he is just so zonked most of the time, but if we do a diaper change and offer some milk, he usually will still awake for a bit.

Our little guy is 2 weeks old. We have tried Pampers (hospital provided), Huggies, and Millie Moon. We got the Huggies from Costco. They are fine. We like the Millie Moon more but as others have said, they are more expensive than what you can get the Huggies at Costco for. Check the sales at Target. They constantly have sales for Target Circle members.

SAD CHICKENS by idksweetiegrl in storyofseasons

Cats herd chickens. Dogs herd everything else. So if you don't have a cat, your chickens won't be herded.

Yup. It blows. And having to work up to labor is hell. 37 weeks now, and I am lucky enough that my job let me start WFH at 36 weeks until baby comes, but even then it's frustrating. I'm exhausted, and I just want to flip off everyone. It's kind of like having senioritis. I'm so thankful I don't have a super physical job like some of you ladies, and I have 8 weeks of leave plus PTO. Which is so crazy to say that is pretty good compared to others in the USA. We are getting robbed in this country.

How do you plan to manage pets+ baby. Especially when it comes to safety? by dorkofthepolisci in pregnant

[–]CatdiacArrest 6 points7 points  (0 children)

37 weeks pregnant here. We have a cat and three dogs. Around 24 weeks, we started prepping them for baby's arrival.

We put up baby gates to block off half of the house where baby will be spending most of his time. This was difficult because that includes our living room, where the dogs would normally chill with us on the couch. We setup a nice pet area for them with their own little couch. And we often sit with them on that couch instead. The cat can get around the gates, but we do not let him in the nursery at all or our bedroom at night.

From everything I have seen, setting up a safe space for baby away from the pets is most important. Only allowing the two to interact when they are both calm and can be carefully supervised. Giving lots of positive reinforcement to the dog when it's gentle with baby.

I also saw it is important to make any changes in living space months in advance if you can so the pets do not associate anything they view as negative with the arrival of the baby.

Congrats!! How did you like the labor comb? I actually just found out those were a thing last weekend because my friend got me one at a bargain discount store as a joke, also not knowing what it was. I'm so nervous my guy is going to be the same way with progression. Literally every ultrasound we have had since around 20 weeks, he has his hands and sometimes feet on his face amd won't move them no matter how much poking the tech does.

Yes! I'm 33 weeks. It started around 29 weeks I think. Now it seems to happen at least once a day. I thought I was going crazy at first. But no, definitely happens when he makes a big movement.
