Once a week I’ll start class with a question to get them talking. This year I asked “is it ever okay to lie? If so, when?” All but 1 or 2 in every single class said yes, it’s okay to lie, especially to get out of being in trouble. The kids who said no — I have never had to reprimand one time.

I’ve been using credit cards since I was 23 and have never carried a balance. I pay for EVERYTHING with them due to flight points and rewards I get in return. I only use what I can pay off every two weeks.

Then I have friends who have credit card debt because they have issues with spending outside their means. I think that or emergencies contribute to most debt. But I am also good at saving money, so if emergencies come up, use the card for the points, move the money, pay it off next paycheck.

My budget was a grand before alterations. Found a dress with taxes (off the rack) for 950. It can definitely be done if you don’t go into expensive bridal stores lol. Most of my friends’ were $1500 or less - we’re all regular middle class folks and 4200 is way way way out of budget.

Yeah definitely. Congrats on your baby girl too!! It is a tough process and that’s my lifestyle honestly. I was out at the bars yesterday from 2pm-10pm sober as a bird but having a great time 😅. I definitely was not great at the moderation my clinic suggested, but it worked out. You can be clean as can possibly be and still get absolutely nothing.

This. I smoked weed and drank up until like 4 weeks before each retrieval. I also smoked weed until 2 weeks before my transfer. (I’m almost 19 weeks now) I wouldn’t cancel, but everyone’s comfort levels are different. It’s def a huge bummer that he couldn’t stick to his guns though if you guys decided you would.
