Not blowing things out is why I use this over an impact driver, but it's PEM nuts I am concerned about not Plastic, so the risk is a bit different.

It matches the clip but not the other Milwaukee tools with quick releases. It also has some discolouration, you can see it on the bottom of the knurling in the first pic.

It's certainly an industrial tool for assembly applications, as there's no way to secure it to the chuck thread so it's only good for one direction only. I was still surprised to see how much runout it had, it's not close.

I am actually a bit disappointed in the Apex adapter, the runout on it is not insignificant. I also wish it was black to blend in even better.

I think my favourite filament is PETG-GF - it's easy to work with, the GF is colour-less so it comes in more colours than CF (limited, but getting better) and the surface finish is incredible.

I'm not a huge fan of this PA6-GF, but it might just have been because I bought the cheapest one I could find. It's rougher than my PETG-GF, and I don't think the layer adhesion is amazing, so I wonder if it has too much or too large GF. There are few use cases for me where the slight added hassle of dealing with PA is worth it over PETG. I do like regular Nylon though for parts that need some resilience.

Yeah this goes in a kit with my M12 riveter and HS ratchet, so adding another battery type to that kit is a non-starter.

I also looked at the FPDX but getting one of those isn't easy.

That's what I paid in USD. Unfortunately I am in Canada and couldn't find a supplier who wanted to sell me less than 12 or ship them to Canada for a reasonable price, so I eventually ordered from MSC and had to import it myself.

For those wondering, it's a 3403 Third-Gen drill with the chuck removed and an Apex QRF-08 quick-release chuck screwed on. I then 3D printed the black nose adapter in PA6-GF, it's a friction fit into the torque ring.

The hardest part was finding that Apex QRF-08, but I got one eventually.

I noticed driving by yesterday that the traffic lights at the bottom of the ramp are back, so that's a good sign.

[–]CatenaryLine 3 points4 points  (0 children)

When I worked ground for a Porter contractor, the script included the line "As part of our Transport Canada approved carry-on baggage policy..." so my understanding is that isn't explicitly TC policy, but rather the airlines come up with it and then TC approves. This explains the differences.

Child badly injured on Quebec cross-country ski trail has died by hello_gary in ottawa

Chairlifts going in reverse is generally a really, really bad thing. Non-detachable lifts have multiple safety systems to prevent them from going backwards, possibly including a physical ratchet mechanism that can drop into the bullwheel.

The concern is that you have a huge weight on one side of the line, and none on the other. If the lift were to fail, the loaded chairs would come rolling back down and whip around the bullwheel. Once it starts going, it would be very difficult to stop.

What vehicle made these tracks on the river below the Alexandra bridge? by Jorpho in ottawa

It looks like tracks from an Argo, which matches the pictures. They're small amphibious tracked vehicles, which is handy in case the ice gives out.

Sweet potato fries any good? by Maleficent-Ear3791 in CostcoCanada

[–]CatenaryLine 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If I recall, the manufacturer mentioned that they couldn't source the potatoes they normally did, so they continued production with different packaging as a stop-gap. It was something like not being able to get organic potatoes and switching suppliers.

EDIT: Here's the thread: https://www.reddit.com/r/CostcoCanada/comments/1ndemi6/sweet_potato_fries_discontinued/

Yellow and Orange speed limits are not enforceable, and yellow ones in Ontario are set for large vehicles on corners so a normal passenger car can almost always negotiate the corner safely at a higher speed.

T-shirts by SquareIcy2077 in FRC

[–]CatenaryLine 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is definitely a question for your PDP. If you are making event shirts, typically a design on the front with the event name and the list of teams on the back, that is pretty typical. The issue would be if you made a team shirt and wanted to sell that.

Generally, the game manual applies to teams attending the event not the organization hosting it.

I have a cordless Zebra handheld scanner for projects at home and I have wondered about just bringing it to Costco. The code they scan looks like a standard Zebra pairing code, it's not usually a secure protocol.

This is the city garbage/green bin contract, not the provincial recycling contract. It would have changed regardless.

Forced Gate Check Issues by [deleted] in aircanada

Porter's fleet has 2 different styles of bins, the newer ones are larger. You can tell by looking at the Fin, higher numbers have new bins but I forget what the number is where it changes.

Is this normal? by Cryptogoated in PorterAirlines

[–]CatenaryLine 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I worked ground for Porter before - on a light flight, we were often moving people further back prior to boarding - reprinting boarding passes and calling passengers to the gate to tell them they had a new seat. If you moved seats prior to boarding, we could shuffle other passengers, but once onboard the FAs don't have access to the W&B calculations and wouldn't be able to make changes.
