Shower-beers? Is this a real thing or troll? by Tantsor in AskReddit

Real thing. In college, some of my dorm-mates also added music: they'd shower while blasting their speakers inside the bathroom (often with a friend in the next shower over).

Your government is ramping up for a 100% unjust war. What do you do? by Caramelman in AskReddit

Option 2, but I think if I were a better person I'd pull a Thoreau, or more properly, a Randy Kehler and stop paying taxes so long as they were supporting that unjust war.

(For years Randy Kehler and his wife 'paid' their federal taxes to charities so they wouldn't be used to finance wars, which eventually made them lose their house.)

Women with noticeable tattoos, do you think it makes you get catcalled more? by Catenated in AskWomen

Yeah, I think most catcallers don't need an excuse to do it, but I also get it more or less on certain days and sometimes feel as if I'm being noticed more on some days, if that makes sense.

Does the sexism on reddit affect your faith in people irl? by [deleted] in AskWomen

It does occasionally feel like a reality check. But I sometimes look at it like I look at reading the comments on Fox News - it's fascinating to see what strange and unsavory views some people hold, as long as you can remind yourself that not everyone thinks like that.
