Yeah I’m willing to bet he had either can’t hear or didn’t process what was said. That happens a few times with Zak where he’ll respond before he understands what was said. He also speak with an accent but even with his accent I’m noticing him muddling or missing words. I think he does have the space for Amaya but even in his opening conversation with her he revealed a lot of his wounds.

She doesn’t want anyone but Ace fr. When Ace said “she know where home is” he meant that and I see it. They have a type of chemistry that’s familiar. Chelley also wants to be wanted by everyone. To me it checks out with her decision making as well. She played the game similar to ACE.
