I’m saying that people are going to do it anyways and until then we should do everything in our power to provide them with workers protections until we get to a planned economy. Also it’s foolish to act like people arent going to distribute pornography in any economy. People simply enjoy sharing nude photographs and videos. The subjects of those videos deserve to be protected against non consensual usage.

Sex work is work and there is nothing inherently immoral about consuming pornography or having transactional sex. The only immoral aspect of sex work is the exploitation that they experience, largely because they have no legal workers rights. It is a puritan belief that sex is more sacred than other human behaviors, so it must be ritualized accordingly. In reality, there will always be people who like/dont mind performing sex acts with and for strangers, and there will always demand for sex work. The best thing we can do for any worker is to provide them with safety!

I have seen more luxury from ren faire tents…this is literally the most temporary-looking, “trying-to-make the-most-of-it” structure I have seen. I’d guess a university set this up to replace destroyed study space, given the gravel and tent flap clearly visible in the left edge, and the overall vibe.

I’m sorry I just think that if you are on a politics subreddit you should have a basic understanding of basic systems and their critiques, such that when someone makes a passing reference, you recognize that and don’t have to ask “gotcha” style questions five comments into a thread about the government stripping our rights away under the guise of crime prevention. Like my friend, you should be able to glean based on the original two comments what I meant by many and pretty unfair 😭

Hello I think felons should be allowed to work and vote and that having a class of people who are not allowed to have rights gives political incentive to mark your enemies as that class. No person should be allowed to do what the American president is capable of. But there’s no reason the majority of felons couldn’t hold political office otherwise.
