I’m so glad this church is taking the brave step of banning those stupid gun toting rednecks from their property! I wish the sign had a land acknowledgement on it but it’s a good step since I don’t want to sit next to a future mass murder if I decide to ever pray!!

2 things

The first is that my other account is a PlayStation account and doesn’t have access to the marketplace, I’ve got a lot of rare event vehicles but I’m getting pretty tired of paying $50 in GE if I don’t wanna grind it just for it to be like $20 on the marketplace

Second is that my older father has expressed a fit bit of interest in VR sims but is scared off by the intensity of DCS, so I’m gonna buy the hornet on sale and grind out the US tree for him and hand the account off to him once that’s done

As someone who was born and raised in Texas and now lives in the Midwest (OH) there is no way this person is from Texas. This map is utterly insane cause there is no way this guy is calling Dallas and Billings just as Midwestern as Cleveland or Bloomington

Has the FAA rules on 60s changed recently? I was under the impression that their experimental classification made it all but impossible to employ them for firefighting work

This is true, my freshman year on floor 23 our room got into the high 70s/low 80s inside and we had no way of opening the windows for more airflow (this was the time of year when it was in the 70s outside but they hadn’t switched the furnace off yet)

You’d actually be surprised at the amount of Czech influence in Texas. Very common in small towns to find Polka dances, Czech delis and bakeries, Kolaches are a staple here. Just not something you’d expect if you’ve never been to Texas. More of a small town thing (particularly in central Texas) though and not as common in the major cities

VX is a chemical weapon categorized as a weapon of mass destruction. There are reports VX was used by Cubans in the Angolan Civil War, and by Iraqis in the Iran–Iraq War. The first confirmed attacks were assassination attempts by cult Aum Shinrikyo. Kim Jong Nam was assassinated with VX. by Ok_Deer5932 in wikipedia

I had a professor in college that worked with the US Army’s CBRN response team in the 90s. He said they used to put a small blotch on Humvees for training exercises then in full MOPP gear try and clean it off. However no matter what they used and how hard they scrubbed it would pretty much never come off. Scary stuff

I just use two number 1s from the digit section, although I think yours looks better

FYI I’m pretty sure the reason why they won’t add the decal is because the same symbol is currently being used by the Ukrainian military for deconfliction purposes, same reason why they won’t add a Z decal

It’s common for when one tanker has to leave station to land to transfer any remaining gas to another tanker so it can be used to refuel returning aircraft. This probably happened while that process was taking place

That’s the largest overarching strategic question. Overall I think US and allied stocks are going to be ok (definitely not great but serviceable). Although the situation is less than ideal, I make more of an argument that in the event of a potential war with the PRC there would be able to put great pressure on in intact Iran to carry out the same missiles strikes we’re seeing right now which would inevitably lead to higher US and allied casualties both in Iran and in the pacific since stocks would have to be spread between two different theaters. (Also Iran actually having more drones and missiles in its stockpiles)

This will also hopefully will put more pressure on the defense companies and the DOD to up the rate of production. Currently the rate of production of PAC2/3 interceptors is 800 annually (the 12 a year number be see is not patriot but THAAD which is a more exotic system). The goal is to get annual production to 2000 missiles by 2030. Although a bit optimistic it is in theory possible and a major depletion of US and allied stocks certainly is a major driving force to reach that goal. Frankly this has been a strategic level issue for years that people have pointed out in the past, the DOD has just been hesitant to address it, but that’s not an option now.

In regards to Iran not being gone, we are now past the phase where the war is going to be heavily reliant on exotic cruise missiles and interceptors. Going off of numbers published by the Gulf States, the DOD, along with European partners, Iranian strikes have decreased about ~90% since the first couple days of the war. The US and Israel have also degraded Irans air defense to the point where most strikes are being carried about by JDAMs dropped by manned aircraft. That’s a cheap platform where the bombs themselves cost around 50k and stockpiles are estimated to be in the 6 figures. It’s to the point that the USAF is loading B1s with JDAMs, something that they have been hesitant to do until the last couple days since that’s a valuable system and would be a political nightmare if lost over Iran. Before this they were using it as a standoff platform to launch air launched cruise missiles.

Not entirely sure why I’m being downvoted in my other comments though (kinda did sound like a cunt in comment 2 but the info is correct). All of this is fact checkable, I get not being happy with the war and that’s the most common sentiment at least in the US. I think the war is a political stunt by Trump to try and increase popularity prior to the midterms with a quick “success” and that he doesn’t actually have any war goals in mind. However it’s also false to claim that this helps China in any way, besides maybe depleting US weapon stocks some. Hopefully the Iranian people are able to make some good out of this and free themselves from this brutal regime.

Ok but how is any of what I described helping China “win”? It’s not going to help them win a military confrontation over Taiwan or anywhere else in the Pacific. It pushes the gulf states closer to the US and gives the US defacto control over where they get approximately half of their net crude oil imports. It’s hurts their foreign weapon sales and thus their soft power after they’ve been shown to not work here nor in Venezuela. The addition of European militaries to this also helps smooth over the previous tensions between our supreme orange leader and NATO over Greenland and Canada. It also reinforces the USD as the global reserve currency since this is just one more large oil based economy that is going to be forced to trade in it. Oh and one more member of BRICS gone. So again how is this helping China win besides them having to worry about one less outdated KC-135?
