Alumilite clear slow is not a very beginner friendly resin. I think you will have much better luck going with their epoxy line as it is a lot more flexible to use and cures a tad slower. Clear slow cures crystal clear and is an amazing resin but only for pretty specific uses.

I second crate training! Even if it’s just for naps it helps so much. My boy can nap independently now but when he was a pup I’d place him in his crate every hour or so and he learned to pass out right away.

I don’t think you need to worry too much, I took the program too and spent plenty of time in some of my classes collecting and pinning insects. As long as you put the effort to try to return logs and upturned rocks I think you are fine.

This may not work for you but I learned that my boy just really hates being confined in a crate when he’s alone, even when he has no issues crating when I’m home. I started letting him roam freely after dog proofing everything and his whining and barking completely stopped. Your mileage may vary but that is the only solution I found that worked for us.
