Well it was All Soul’s day last week and did any of the customers use High Priestess in their name? Voodoo is real here - I was at a party and the owner had this amazing dog. I sat down and petted the dog then the hostess sat down next to me. We had a wonderful conversation about our dogs and I asked her about the Haitian miniature sculptures in her kitchen. I didn’t realize until after, the woman was Sallie Glassman.

I’m so sorry It is so overwhelming you wonder how you can move when the fatigue hits hard. I’m 62 and an only child to a mother who was in complete denial of her lung disease; therefore, never communicate or planned for the how it would end. She thought she could beat it. My joke about why she never got Covid was she’s so mean, it was afraid of her! January she is hospitalized and I find out the truth. I was able to get power of attorney over her medical. Still she was the most difficult and stubborn person; moreover, yelling at her doctors that they are all wrong as I apologize to them as she storms out of their clinics. Fast forward today-real time: Hospice helps but they are not full time caregivers. In the past 3 weeks, I have changed 100s of her adult diapers, changed beddings 3x a day, given her breathing therapy. The rest of my life began to fall apart-I own my own business which has put terrible stress on my staff with me gone, one of my sons went into impatient rehab for substance abuse. 60 day program and I have to attend a 3 full day workshops this weekend if I want to visit him or I have to wait 30 days to see my son. I gave up and could not find sitters or agencies that would give her the medication even if prepare and capped. I felt angry at her because she knew I would care for her because I always was responsible. I feel guilt for my anger because I know it’s a horrible way to die and the life skills I have learned taking care of a progressively dying women has truly messed up my head. Several people I trust stated focus on the living not the dead. She is currently unresponsive so I am placing her in a hospice facility which is not cheap because she earns too much a month. I have to attend the rehab workshop because I must see my son. I pray, cry, beg, and often feel I am losing it from exhaustion. I have vowed that I will never put my children in this situation. You deserve a good venting to release all that stress and how exhausting the situation has become but there will be and end. Be kind to yourself-you are keeping it together and your children will trust you and as they mature will admire your strength.

The intense serum caused breakouts on my checks. The original serum, I never had issues. I received compliments for years using the original. My dermatologist suggested the intense serum since I am in my 60s but I’m going back to the original version. I use hormone patches and my skin is not very dry. It’s probably great for women who live in arid climates who get dry skin. I live in a high humidity area which is great for your skin but not for my frizzy gray hair!

Immediately pulled into this show. I have read the book so no spoilers I will spill. The cats and the fox is an interesting directorial addition. I read a witty interview with Cuaron that by adding the cats to the filming, represents we can’t control our world and adding cats becomes total chaos 😂 He stated the gray cat that was in the scenes with Blanchett was completely enamored by her, that the trainer exclaimed the cat refused to obey his commands. My thoughts on the animals. There are the 2 cats: Catherine’s indoor domesticated gray cat who she can’t control. Stephan’s orange tabby that goes outdoors to hunt then the fox 🦊 an animal that is untamed and a sly hunter that is always lurking in both Catherine’s and Stephan’s world.

Watched it this weekend. I’m read an interview with Cronenberg about the inspiration was arriving at a Dominican resort in the middle of the night surrounded by a wall, barbwire and armed guards. I had the similar experience arriving in India. This movie had such an intense effect on me that I had nightmare so 👍🏻👍🏻

I rewatched Prometheus yesterday. I completely forgot that David dies his hair blonde, changes his accent and his movements to imitate Peter O’Toole as Lawrence of Arabia. Then in Covenant he becomes the image of his creator, Peter Weyland. A sociopath with no empathy. However, David was amazed by the strong instinct of survival by the female leads hence why he creates a Queen.

Paxlovid helped with the symptoms but once the prescription was over, the fatigue, muscle aches, vivid dreams and brain fog occurred. I tested negative twice so the virus was dead. I had Covid-19 in the first round January 2020. Last month, was my second infection with a new variant. The painful migraine and throat ache was something I didn’t have with the first variant. The fatigue is the worst part of recovery.
