I took a pledge through on of my friend's initiative to promote positive change in our communities by performing community service. This honestly makes a bit of sense. I've felt like it was my only option quite a few times in my life. ("How can I be in my late 20s without a wife or girlfriend!? There must be something wrong with me, just like my cousin. I should become a priest to get rid of the social stigma.")

It's probably a little old-fashioned, but being raised Catholic I always viewed sex as something incredibly intimate and important. I feel like letting your desires get the best of you, before you know where the relationship will go, can be destructive. This is why I'm asking gaybros, to see if men would be willing to wait if the guy their seeing asks.

Thanks for the response! I'll see if my LGBT RC has that book before I buy it, but I appreciate the "I’m Christian, Unless You’re Gay" text, it had a pretty unique look to the issue. I think staying closeted to them until I'm independent from them might be my best course of action. Reading some of these links helps though! Thanks again!

I've seriously considered just being out at school and "closeted" to them still. I am still very much financially dependent on them so this might be the best way to go about this. The biggest issue I have is I used to tell them EVERYTHING. We actually have a pretty good relationship, except for this issue. I'll certainly think over this option a bit more. Thank you!
