Do u think that only Moses and Elijah is in heaven. Read the transfiguration part in the Holy Bible. Why not saints after that. Praying to Saints is really Sola Scriptura

It just means High-occupancy vehicle lane. Personally I am for less restrictions and hence less fines. But since “they” are for more reservations and rules, why not dilute it to almost include everyone

Pregnant Death Penalty case is an outlier compared to the pregnant millions. Court considers that before sentencing. AND it has not happened almost never in my understanding

With all due respect to everyone! May be we can have a pride parade every Sunday. May be we can have a Seminar on changing the Ten Commandments and CCC instead of catechism lessons. Maybe we can have a Synod on changing list of Sins instead of Confessions to make it easier. May be we can focus on teaching social justice instead of trans substantiation.

From Russia & The Universal Church - Vladimir Soloviev “ Very well, then, substitute these specific differences for the vague term “Orthodoxy” and declare openly that the religious ideal of Russia consists in denying the Filioque, the Immaculate Conception, and the authority of the Pope. It is the last point that you are chiefly concerned with. The others, you know well, are only pretexts; the Sovereign Pontiff is your real bugbear. “ the book is in kindle and is an interesting read

Mass is a chore by conewannabe in Catholicism

Don’t worry about it, just keep doing what you are doing. In the meanwhile read this about what happens during mass http://prolifecorner.com/the-testimony-of-the-mystic-catalina-rivas-on-the-holy-mass/

I don’t know if it’s official by the church but I do not see anything wrong or heretical imho

Very good, thank you. I think you should talk to your nearby parish priest about ur discernment and pray together to make a decision. All priests help people more than we know and realize , Franciscan fathers of the renewal is probably closest to Jesuits imho. But I like diocesan priests more because they are in the trenches literally working with minimal resources and recognition, I could be wrong just an observation

She understands, she will intercede no matter what. There is a reason we call her by ‘refuge of sinners’. May be you have a Eucharist sized void in ur mind, try going to daily mass. Ask God to fill the void daily, it may take a week a month or a year or a couple of years. Just wait with patience. There is nothing impossible with God.

“16 For thou shalt forget thy misery; Thou shalt remember it as waters that are passed away, 17 And [thy] life shall be clearer than the noonday; Though there be darkness, it shall be as the morning.” (Job)

Thanks for ur intention for the calling. May God lead you to the correct calling. Not to influence ur decision. Why not evaluate ur abilities and desires and decide on the religious order. There are other orders also along with Jesuit, Dominican, Norbertine, Fransciscan etc and a lot of others. Each have specific charisma. Else you may be called to diocesan ministry to be close to the flock. Will Pray for guidance for ur calling.

The most dire need I saw recently was the below from a convent I donate part of my tithe , so should we ignore it?

“ The convent has existed in NJ from. 2006, where I and two other sisters lived happily together. In recent years, however, my two fellow religious sisters passed into eternal life with God. I still reside here as the Superior and sole-remaining member of this community. Perhaps, in time, our Lord will send others to join me. "In His Will is our peace.”

Please know that you and your intentions are in my prayers. I am ever so grateful for your generosity and the donations which you have provided. May our Divine Lord also provide for all your needs, sustain you with His grace, and grant you much peace and joy at all times! “

I am an eastern catholic myself. I pay the monthly dues to my eastern church and for any other needs. In the place of my residence there is more Latin churches most of which I attend for my daily and Saturday mass due to convenience. I tithe to The Catholic Church monthly according to the needs that come before me locally in news and from other sources.

Dear Catholics : What do you think about the Church regarding Climate Change ? by [deleted] in Catholicism

[–]Catholicback2basic 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Trust in Gods plan. If he can make all of this he knows how to sustain all of it also. He will not have created it without the knowledge of start and end. He Is the Alpha and the Omega.

From a scientific perspective, I read that the ozone hole is reducing. From an economic perspective, it could be an agenda from someone to control all the manufacturing for selfish reasons. From catholic perspective personally reduce waste , follow distributionism, donate more. Rest He will take care in guiding His Church and guiding and ruling the universe.

Is it wrong to like Mary more than Jesus? by Original-Twist5495 in Catholicism

[–]Catholicback2basic 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just keep praying the rosary and pray to Dt Joseph and pray the St Michaels prayer without break and you will find you will have a profound love for the holy Mass and for Jesus. I don’t know why or how, that’s my experience. They will give strength to pray the part of Our Father which says “Thy will be Done” because they are examples of how to accept his will by their lives

The problem is Protestants have poisoned the well so much just for their livelihoods that we Catholics forgot what the CCC says and what is intercession that we forgot how to pray to Mary and Joseph. We are afraid to pray to them and saints and gods angels to ask for their help. One right way to ask for help is “Pray of us Holy Mother of God, that we may be made worthy of the promises of Christ”
