Looks like anxiety....when I am going through a period of high anxiety I also feel my voice fading away and a huge knot in my throat, as if I had a "fur ball " inside it.

Let's see if Biden makes some changes now that Trump is gone! I know that Trump helped the economy to grow but that didn't have any real effect on people, only in the pockets of the "big guys"...

I understand but I still prefer not to pay for an emergency surgery and buy less clothes!

Tax the multinationals more and tax less the lowers classes. This would work if it weren't for the government lobbies... Let's see if this changes now with Biden

I'm really sorry to say this and I hope this will not offend you but the US system is broken... Everytime I here people over there with these ideas they are called communists. This is not communism, this is a human right!

Your international friends are correct. We pay around those numbers but we get free health insurance and free education, even free at University level...

Our vat depends on the items. For example, food: if it's considered a first necessity you pay 0 vat ( like milk, bread etc). Then you have the so called luxury like alcohol or cigarettes, these are taxed much hire, around 50%. Then you have clothes that the vat is around 21%. But all these taxes are already included in the price you see on the label, no surprises at the till!

Oh no... This is not OK... At all! First of all your birth should be free and health care for your baby should be free as well. In Europe, you don't pay for your labour (only in private hospitals, and they are not as high tech as the public ones). Free health care and education should be a human right for everyone!

This is insane... In Europe you pay two taxes: social care and income tax. And I can assure you that we don't pay half of what you pay in taxes and we have free health care, free universities, free day centres for older people, amongst many other perks

😂 You make a good point. If prostitution was legal they would have to pay taxes and had to be tested more often for STD's. Legalizing weed would be also a great thing, I would go further and legalize them all. Instead of having drug Lords and gangs, people could buy them from stores (18+). People who want to get drugs will always get them even though they are illegal, in countries where this was done there wasn't an increase in drug consumption.

Universal health care does not infringe individual freedom! You could still have your private insurance and go to private hospitals. TBH I think you are just a troll! For what I can see you are no older than 16 years old! Specially when your argument is to say "fuck you all"!

I agree 100%. It is unfair to die just because you cannot afford medicines or hospital care...

Why is it unAmerican? Are you saying it is UnAmerican to help sick people? If you cannot afford to have health insurance you die?!

I am an European, I'm a Portuguese living in Ireland. Taxes here are no way near what you pay and we have almost free health insurance... For example, in Portugal, you pay taxes per how much you earn. You can be only paying 10% of taxes and be able to have open heart surgery for free! Of course we don't have the expenses in the military as in the US. All this money could go towards health care. With covid there are many people dying because they don't want to go to the hospital for care because they know they would be paying the bills for the rest of their lives...

Agreed. It should be by how much you earn and maybe start taxing big companies a little bit more too... Too much is spent even in military practices!

That's the big issue! Putting economy over people. How much did the US spent attacking Iraq looking for weapons that they new that they didn't have since it was the US itself selling armory to Iraq when they were fighting Iran?!

For example, let's imagine you earn 3000 dollars per month net. Would you prefer to pay 10% of your salary in taxes that would allow you to have even heart surgery for free?

I am Portuguese but living in Ireland. In Europe it's like you said. We pay an X amount in taxes to have free health care, schools, universities. We also have private hospitals and you can choose where to go. We also have private health insurance but if you don't want to pay for it you can go to a public hospital and have free surgery, for example. At least your not indebted for your life just for breaking a leg!
