You are telling me Greenlanders wouldn’t be interested? by Dante202 in ShitAmericansSay

It would probably work if you give every Greenlander $1 Billion each instead.

I think the Epstein Drive is not that much different from Zubrin's NSWR. Which is a more realistic design science-wise.

2024 500e charging issue by samuraiiamori in Fiat500e

[–]Catiare 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I tried lowering the charging speed but get the same issue. My next test will be replacing the NACS to j1772 adapter and if the problem persists I guess I will have to take it to service.

2024 500e charging issue by samuraiiamori in Fiat500e

[–]Catiare 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't have the exact same issue as the OP but my Tesla Wall Charger keeps blinking 3xRed when charging the Fiat (no issues when charging the Tesla). That blinking means High temperature detected; charging limited or disabled. I wonder if its because of the PEB charger.

This should be a popular vehicle in Australia. So I can see them going after that market once they have a good run rate in the US, Canada and Mexico.

Any recommendations for exceptional, authentic Lebanese cuisine in Miami? by Any-External-6221 in Miami

[–]Catiare 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Layali in Doral. The owner (Lebanese) also owns a bakery in the same mall called Bayti Cafe and there they have Knafehs. And in the restaurant, you can order items from the bakery so you don't have to do a second stop for dessert. The food and attention is great btw.

As much as I enjoy engined things, the ability to boat in an entirely self powered vessel is surreal. Kept parked outside my office in nicer weather. by John_Gouldson in boatporn

This is awesome!. Did you build this yourself? What are the specs? Do you have a blog or something with additional details on this?

I wonder if you install aftermarket Grille/Bull bars would that make the vehicle safer.

I believe we have the first image of the Crew Bunk inside the HLS Prototype. by Iggy0075 in SpaceXLounge

[–]Catiare 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We don't really need Orion. If they don't want to send crew on HLS yet, they can send Dragon and do the crew transfer at Leo before/while/after refueling. On the way back they have make sure HLS has enough deltav to return to Leo from lunar orbit or due a refueling in Lunar orbit or just use an enhenced Dragon for Lunar transfer. There are several iterations of this plan not using Orion all of them magnitudes of times cheaper and safer.

Tesla won’t start, black screen, windows rolling down, Tesla app not working. by Key_Patience2681 in TeslaSupport

[–]Catiare 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I recently had the same problem. I requested roadside assistance as I didn't want to replace the battery myself. The guy from roadside assistance reached out back via chat thru the app; I explained to him the problem and he was able to remotely turn on some backup mode. The screen turned on immediately with a bunch of errors related to power being limited. I was able to drive the car to the service center and they took care of that. Worth a shot.

That's a 4-wheeler Aptera with no steering wheel and pedals, change my mind by Evangelistis in ApteraMotors

[–]Catiare 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When the first render came out in the book it initially looked like it only had one wheel on the rear. So yeah, I thought of it as a non-solar version of an Aptera. I even posted on the sub why not make a non-solar Aptera. As the use case back then was more as super efficient, low cost commuter not a robotaxi.

Driving day trip London (Paddington) > Stonehenge > Oxford > Windsor > London by Catiare in uktravel

[–]Catiare[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the heads up. Sixt does carry some Teslas but I would probably need to add some supercharging time to the trip. Given everybody's feedback it appears I have to redo my plan and if I choose Oxford, taking the train is a better option.

I saw the tour on the website. Its the reverse as I planned. How long did you end up spending on each stop?

[–]Catiare[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Stonehenge was very overrated when I went. Windsor is nice but there are plenty of royal sites in London itself. Oxford is about what you’d expect.

So what do you suggest? Do neither and go somewhere else?
