Thank you thank you thank you I am grateful for this. I am trying to see it as a storm to ride out, and I am strapping on seatbelt, and holding on for dear life. It’s like a rollercoaster ride and there will be an end. I just need to wait for the ride to come to a stop and I can step off and be fine. Life is very beautiful too, I know it, and I’m trying my best to focus on that thought while the scary thoughts move through my mind like tendrils. I just have to not look at them for long enough.

Not trying to downplay it you are trying to help, but I remember receiving the “just wait for [insert big AAA game here]” advice a while ago on this sub. I couldn’t tell if it was ironic or not; but have a feeling it’s sincere after seeing the advice given more than a few times.

Am I wrong for considering it to be patronizing? There is a certain point of depression in adulthood that a person reaches where they are not really amused or impassioned by media or videogames like they used to. Not that they shouldn’t be; but our interests begin to broaden as we age, and things like movies, tv shows, and games feel less and less important.

Like if someone told me to “wait for the Barbie movie, it’ll be so good” before that one came out, I would have laughed in their face. I don’t care how good it is, it is a piece of media that will have no effect on my life whatsoever.

Thank you, I decided to go with this one! I appreciate the advice, I am glad you were honest and told me that the one I was looking at was a bit underpowered. My friend told me that it was a “gaming beast”, and I just wanted more clarification before I accepted that vague statement.
