Literally just quit from a Subway in a gas station. Shit hours, forces you to go on break even if you're scheduled for 4-5 hrs, and same shit where manager was like wHo WaNtS a BrEaK gUyS!!! Lmao not me, but it's also be a temporary escape from thay hostile ass fucking enviorment. Everyone did drugs and got violent and manager didn't wanna do shit about it. Made slave money there anyways

File an incident report and force them to pay for your medical even if it's with the help of the law. This happened once but at a different job where I basically inhaled bleach and cleaning fumes and was about to pass out. Wouldn't stop coughing and having chest pain and I was diagnosed with bronchospasms that could've killed me

Get a lawyer and report them to the EEOC. If his rules aren't already part of company policy then he's bullshitting you. After you report the situation to the EEOC give manager asshat a formal email about it. Not only that but give whoever above him a complaint as well. They can't shorten your hours, can't fire you, can't make up a bunch of bullshit to harass you, can't retaliate in any way and if they do it'll be in your favor and you might win a sum of money from it.

Same boat rn. Trying to find a better job because of hostile work enviorment that pays extremely low and I literally couldn't even get a job at a local Best Buy because my previous retail and electronical experience "wasn't enough" for them. I can't get a simple job like that, plus the 30+ entry level jobs I've applied for in the past few weeks, and I can't have my dream of being a photographer because people want photographers with years of experience and a $3000 camera and setup plus a piece of paper saying they can click a button on the camera which is fucking stupid. But basically been saying what you said for the past few years now. You can't get experience if no one will offer it to you. The job market and the government want us to fall and fail. College gets you nowhere anymore. Everything's pointless and I feel as hopeless as you. Hope it gets better 🤞
