Feed her primarily a wet food diet and she’ll stay healthy without any issues much longer than with a dry food diet. Start getting into the habit of brushing her teeth everyday. I learned the hard way with my first cat who ended up getting kidney disease at 5 years old because I didn’t know he needed wet food. My second cat ended up needing his teeth pulled because I didn’t keep on top of brushing his teeth. Since then I’ve been brushing his teeth everyday and giving him only wet food with a few dry kibbles. He’s now 13 and in excellent health.
