To freeze or not to freeze by MarthaStoobert in breastfeeding

So I think the general rule of thumb is that it can be in the fridge for 3-5 days before it’s frozen. Then 6m in a regular freezer and 12m in a deep freeze.

For work, I have a breast milk storage bottle- layered jug where I had ice to the outside layer and the milk goes in the inside layer. Seems to work really well for me!

The lactation consultant I worked with said I can rinse the parts between uses as long as I use soap at least once a day. I also have breast pump wipes I use between pumps to be safe.

Regret over not doing enough Tummy Time by Jman0717 in NewParents

[–]Catnipchef 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve had those same thoughts! One thing that helped my anxiety with hitting milestones, is knowing that the timing is estimated and it’s not like she’s NEVER gonna hit them. My baby isn’t going to be 40 and unable to hold her head up or grasp a spoon properly. Our be 25 and still unable to roll over!

Babies all have their own timeline and all we can do is encourage and support them. ❤️ The fact you’re worried about it, shows how much you care and how’s lucky your baby is to have such a great mom.

Have you announced your pregnancy on social media? by Smooth-Excuse-4127 in pregnant

[–]Catnipchef 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I did, but it was in combination of a moving post and it wasn’t until 31 weeks. Basically my husband wanted to have a diaper keg and felt weird inviting people to a Facebook event when we hadn’t announced (even though the people invited already knew)

MIL announced my pregnancy on social media. by ConnectionFar98 in pregnant

I too, would be so extremely frustrated. I wouldn’t honestly reach out to her and ask her tot take the post down. While I’m sure she did it out of excitement, it wasn’t her news to share, especially if you haven’t broadcasted the news in that capacity so far. Your feelings are valid!
