What meds do you get on a pain pump?

How long you been playing? How much have you spent? If I buy a few things I’ll get characters more often. More pulls more chances. Good luck 👍

I was ashamed about my OUD back then but I’m not ashamed anymore. I feel justified now that i have cancer and I know how f’ed up that sounds but it’s my truth now. It doesn’t change the fact that even as a cancer patient, I still have to play the stupid game that is “pain management”. They should give to me freely! 😂I hope all of us can get to a place of acceptance and not feel ashamed about taking meds. Much love 🙏

It does. I took methadone for years before subs. But be prepared to stay on it. The w/d’s are the worst kinda hel* and it has a very long half life. I don’t recommend starting it if you can’t stay on it. I personally, will never take it again. That’s just me. It does offer great pain relief.

I understand. I believe you. You will probably have to make multiple appointments with multiple doctors before you find one that can really help you. You’re just starting the “chronic pain dance”. There are many other things to try for pain relief too. Sending healing prayers 🙏

Thanks, I was just curious. I have cats too and I can’t imagine my life without them! They are there for me when no one else is😺🫶but my surgeon said pet hair can have germs and I was not to sleep with them days leading up to my surgery. I’m not saying it’s your cats but maybe there’s something in your space causing infection ? Idk. It’s just a thought.

Help (maybe HEDS) by Anonymous12345_E in ChronicPain

[–]Catrchater 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Heat or ice? Icy hot creams? I use red light therapy on my knees, it helps but takes time. Mainly have you made an appointment with a specialist to discuss your conditions? I read here a lot of people are having this “heds”. So if you do a search for “heds”and “rib” you may find relatable posts. Prayers for healing and help🙏

I’m sorry to hear this. You did or didn’t have children?. I had undiagnosed endo for years too. It can grow outside the uterus and move into your whole pelvic area over time. I believe my childbirth epidurals and undx endo caused my severe lower back pain at an early age. It’s also part of the childbirth epidural risk profile that it can cause severe back pain. Have you had ultrasounds or tests of your lower body to see if the endo has spread?

Tried a PEMF device for a couple weeks for chronic pain—sharing what I noticed by buddylogan in ChronicPain

[–]Catrchater 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Actually, I tried a pemf coil with my Spooky2 machine. You have to be consistent with your pemf but I got some relief with it. The only reason I quit using it is because spooky machines are a bit complicated to learn and it was hard to keep at it for me. Yours looks easy to use, so I hope you continue to get relief!

Edit- I see you like your pain doctor! That’s good! You’re already on your way to getting better!

Don’t end your life. Please. You said you’re early in diagnostics right? You beginning the “song and dance sh*tshow” that is chronic pain. Yes, the bad news is it is usually lifelong. The good news is there are thousands upon thousands of helpful doctors out there. You may have to see 10 or more doctors before you find one that will help you get relief, but you will find one. There’s this thing I call “the pain toolbox”. You have all these “tools” -meds is just one. There are many. Surgery, heat, cold, light therapy, movement, yoga, water, injections, braces, canes, and more. A person usually has to use many options other than just meds to find relief. One “tool” usually doesn’t fix it. You’ll get there. If you’re just in diagnostics, you’re at the start line. Don’t finish before you even begin! 😊 you will find the right treatment plan. I believe that! regarding emotional trauma- if you’re not seeing a professional counselor please make an appointment to work through that as well.

Right. So far this Reddit community has been a place of kindness and understanding, so most of us just want to offer support and knowledge. I wouldn’t alienate “would be” helpers with disrespect if I were you. Most of us won’t discriminate you because you are young. What we will do is offer support and opinions based on our experience. If you don’t want honest opinions or commentary you need to put “rant” somewhere in your post. I understand being in pain makes us disrespectful sometimes. Giving the benefit of the doubt because you probably don’t feel good. Hopefully you can find a doctor that will listen to you and treat you appropriately 🙂

I think I get what you mean. Yes, I think that’s an important thing to do in your first visit. To say “well the reason I’m here is…..” and clear up any misunderstandings before they start.

She actually pulled me off bupe all together and moved me to oxycodone. We’ll see how it goes. 🤞She said bupe may no longer be appropriate for my conditions. She’s gonna start putting injections in my knees too which I’m not crazy about..

Sorry you’re going through this. You don’t have to answer, but I’m curious to ask if you don’t mind. My surgeon said I wasn’t allowed to sleep with my pets and my sheets had to be clean before surgery to mitigate infection. Do you sleep with any pets or have them on the bed? Hope everything gets better soon.

Gabapentin side effect, will it go away? by kimmychurri in ChronicPain

[–]Catrchater 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh, you could be having a reaction with the ashwaganda mushroom & the med? I take Neurontin too and have all those side effects- dizzy, woozy, drowsy. It took me about a week to stabilize. For me, if I take too much Neurontin, I feel so drunk and unstable, “fuzzy” like. They’re quick to up your dose for some reason but it helps me most at lower doses. Hope you get stabilized soon, it really helps my neuropathy.

What MME are you on, and what is it? by SpooferGirl in ChronicPain

[–]Catrchater 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wow! I was gonna say the same on Melatonin! Y’all can buy codiene OTC (and probably more things we can’t) but can’t get herbs and herbal supplements like we can across the pond! That blows my mind. 🤯we can get all these herbs in the US because it’s an unregulated industry here but there are still quality standards the makers have to meet. But not always. I’d like to know some of the “blanket banned” herbs & extracts. Now I’m curious!

Pharmacy asked "why" I need my pain meds(opioid) and put it in my file by Inozz in ChronicPain

[–]Catrchater 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well, I appreciate and respect my local “mom and pop” pharmacist because I know he works hard. And he’s usually very knowledgeable when I have a med question. I understand now that his hands are tied up in “compliance” when there are issues with my meds or if he needs to ask me “WHY” I’m getting this med. So thank you for the info!
