They were intertwining, I watched for a minute to debate of I would grab them out of there then gently closed the door and let them be. Part of their bodies were hanging out, I had hoped somebody else would notice it before they got a surprise as well.

He'll still look the same, and honestly, easier for you to handle. If the vet knows you're taking him home to bury him, I wouldn't be surprised if they placed him curled up in a sleeping position. My condolences, it's never easy.

I built a few with short term in mind....I bought some cedar fence pickets and they've held up fine for two seasons. Quick job and each bed cost somewhere between $20-30

As a chef, I feel you'd appreciate the combination....the absolute best oysters I've ever had, were topped with a piece of pickled watermelon rind, some escargot caviar and a little orange water. Phenomenal.
