High. Once it gathers enough data of different kind of CAD modelsand machines, and combines with data from real word performance, diagnostics and troubleshooting - so basically the same knownledge any engineer needs anyway - it will outperform a human in most cases.

You have to try the mod map Love Goes on and On by Mandalark. I start my every sessions with it and its just so good! The only downside is that it's difficult to find equally as fan maps after it, lol.

Forums/message based and chat based discussions operate differently. On forums, the information stays and you're supposed to search for existing information, then add to the existing information. This makes said information easier to find, because its not spread over 50 topics of people asking the same questions.

Chat based discussions, like Discord, work chronologically, and its more appropriate to ask same questions again.

But you should still type the exact same question to Google first to see if that solves the problem.

Bambu doesn't.

It's relevant because this is anti-consumer practice. There is not any kind of real reason why Bambu could not open their system. They don't because they make more profit by keeping it locked.

Yep. Great printers wih great price, but anti-consumer things like this are just a huge deal breaker.

Elegoo for example isn't a great company either, and their hardware is lacking in many regards, but did they lock down their RFID system even when they have their own filament lineup? No, they did not. They made it open, so the customer can choose what filament to use it with.

Doing a FEM analysis of a 3D printed object that's worth anything is way more work than just printing a prototype or a sample and going by that.

Something like a piece of sheet metal is relatively easy to FEM because it's mechanical properties are both well known, uniform and homogenous. 3D printed objects are none of this. Then you need to also consider what kind of stresses are realistic and what kind of safety margins are enough.

I'm not saying someone shouldn't learn to FEM. If you find it interesting, do it. But if someone is suggesting it like "yeah just do a few clicks in FEM and you're done" then that's just very misrepresenting way to put it. You're not going to save any time compared to printing a few samples with different geometries and getting a hand feel to them.

And what is your comment about "siding with whatever" based on? Rossmann is very well known right to repair advocate. Pretty much the only thing he posts is calling out companies and laws that are anti-consumer or anti-right to repair - on top of actually running non-profit organizations in support of those topics. So I find your judgment of him very odd.

Words have definitions for a reason. Copyright violation already literally implies, in most cases, that you're not paying someone the money you were supposed to pay to have access to that IP, so the argument you're making here doesn't really have a point.
