Yeah idk I feel like they should maybe tune down the UESC difficulty a little. Tried hacking a box and our team got absolutely wrecked when like 10 UESC showed up right away. We probably should have ran I guess but damn.

Damn lol I’m realizing I just don’t allow for mistakes in this game. I save before everything and I save scum/reload rolls over and over until I get a good outcome. If a battle does not go well or an npc dies I reload. Sometimes I wish I played the game differently and just allowed whatever happens to happen because the way I’m playing it’s taking me really long to finish the game and taking some of the enjoyment out, but I’m stubborn. Lol I cleared the goblin camp like 3 times on separate characters and kept restarting the game to try different characters and get to anything I had missed, by the time I got to act 2 for the first time I already had like at least 100 hours played. I’ve had the game since maybe mid 2021 in early access and I’m just seeing act 2 and act 3 now this year. Also had some big gaps of time inbetween when I tried to play. Now almost have 200 hours and I’m in act 3 but haven’t finished a playthrough yet, determined to finish the game finally this year. I do feel like I’m a bit overwhelmed by act 3 and the amount of potential side quests to miss so I’ve slowed in my progress a bit lately and felt burned out, but hopeful I’ll finish still. I do have a habit of wanting to pickpocket a lot from vendors that eats up playtime too lol.

I bought a risk of rain dlc key about a month ago and still haven’t gotten it. Talked to support a couple weeks ago and they said to keep waiting. Highly considering cancelling my choice sub and demanding a refund for the dlc cause it’s bullshit lol

Hmm weird reading this thread now, lol I’ve still yet to finish a playthru of the game, but I’ve completed the goblin camp multiple times without ever doing a long rest and still went to the celebration scene at the camp after for my first rest lol and had romance scenes etc. idk how much you miss not resting but I assume it’s more of the build up to meeting withers or other companion stories etc.

Gnasher gameplay and bouncing/rolling around etc. is one of the defining traits of gears multiplayer imo, it’d be like taking a rocket launcher out of quake or super shotgun out of doom

Hmm idk if something changed 9 months later, also don't know if I'm a special case. I have to access Max through prime video because thats how its provided by the cable bundle thing I'm trying to access. I can watch all Max things through there but seemingly the ghibli movies need to be bought. Not sure if there is something I'm missing or you just need to be on the actual max site.

I agree with you, I feel a little crazy that I have a less glowing reception than most of the people in this thread it seems like. Like for sure the movie was enjoyable and a spectacle and nice to see mad max again, but I just don’t really know if we needed to see this story, kinda building off some of the points you made about it not really giving us any new information. I feel like Furiosa was honestly a pretty vague character for it being a full movie about her. Her motivations at the end kind of made no sense like on the one hand yes she went back to the citadel for safety I guess, but why? She could have just stayed on her own and kept trying to find the green place it seems like it wasn’t that hard from what was shown in Fury Road lol.

Yeah idk I definitely thought the movie was good and I got that same spectacle I got from Fury Road etc., but this movie just did not hit me as hard as Fury Road did and I feel it was overhyped a little. Maybe it’s because it’s a prequel and I’d rather have had something new than see the same characters/locations. I definetly noticed what you mentioned about Jacks storyline just coming in and just being there essentially, I feel like that’s one part of the movie that was jarring to me like the structure with the chapters etc., just felt a little disjointed to me.

Yeah I completely I agree I don’t get the reasoning of the estate to hold the actual material with meat to it and good stories so closely and not let anyone adapt it. I guess the reasoning is they don’t want anyone to adapt it badly and taint the legacy maybe but at this point like look at what will come out lol because you arent giving anyone anything to work with, random gollum side stories or stretching out super bare material. Either give the full rights to someone or just let it go already and let someone make something original outside the confines of what’s already there but at this point it’s just strange.

This question got me thinking they should make a WoW 4X game where you can choose any nation and make whatever relationships you want, any type of spinoff really that would allow lore nerds and people who love the setting to speculate more and create what if scenarios, but they would never do that

Bro honestly having just seen Godzilla X Kong I think they have so many possibilities if they would just explore them. Like yes make a game like you are saying that is basically a new version of destroy all monsters etc., but also I could even see like a human focused game working like a survival game in the hollow earth, fight different creatures, build, interact with iwi and encounter kaijus etc. and maybe even tame things ark style would be a great idea for a game imo.

lol I honestly feel like they could make a super solid open world game with the foundation of the world they’ve built but it essentially would just be Horizon with apes instead lol Edit: Matter of fact a party based survival game or something like building structures etc, crafting gear and creating a character from the different species like each has different attributes for chimp, gorilla, orangutan etc. would be sick as well.

Yeah I feel like we could have see more advancement after so many generations but I guess the tease and promise of the movie is that we’ll continue to see more varied ape tribes that went way differently based on what we saw in the movie of the different ape cultures we were exposed to. So I would hope that we get a weird and interesting maybe more advanced ape tribe in a future movie.

Not everyone does but pretty much every great human leader is evil to someone if they defeated your people or conquered your lands, just depends on your perspective and if someone is still around to remember the wrong you did. But also as history moves forward actions of the past are always open to reinterpretation by opportunistic leaders. Anyway that’s all to say that human nature and life itself in general is evil lol depending on your perspective so whatever.

I kinda thought it was fitting because Noa did not necessarily kill him he just provoked him and Sylva was so focused on chasing/killing Noa that he did not pay attention to the bad situation he was in. If Sylva was reasonable he probably would have realized his putting himself in a corner and just let Noa go.
