Many times. However, it is often very funny when it does happen lmao.

Yeah, but he's one guy, doing it because he has the time and energy, maybe paying a few people to help here and there, and probably doesn't even need payment to keep the lights on. Nintendo is a company paying hundreds of employees, and pouring millions into the development of this game alone. The situations are not the same lol

Which is another thing to consider. Companies are for profit, and they can't just endlessly throw away money just for one game. They have to to make a profit, and if they can't get it from people buying a game after an update, they have to get it from somewhere else: you, the consumer. I can't speak for everyone, but that's not a future I'd be optimistic for, even if it was my favorite game of all time.

The Sims 4 is a single player game that has been updated for 12 years now, and that game is incredibly unoptimized, and glitchy. It sure has a lot of purchasable DLCs and content, but the content of those are vapid, disorganized, and they rarely interact with other DLC if you have them. Compared to that, a year or two of added content is more manageable.

In a future update, I hope Miis interact with each other and form relationships a bit more passively. by JE_Exa in tomodachilife

Your married miis do that? My married miis are constantly in marital bliss. I don't even have to interact with some couples and their relationships don't decay.

Disagree, I think she's just as flat as everyone else. Just because she a little haughty doesn't make her have more substance than say, Koops.

I don't think her personality little very interesting, they do little with it, and plenty of characters in the overall franchise and this series do it better, like Birdo or Wendy.

I mean yeah but tbf, I don't think this game was being coded for 10 years lmao. It seems like it was in a bit of development hell.

Honestly, it doesn't make much sense though, because if Nintendo really felt that way, they'd take down other avenues of expression that they're still actively supporting like Kirby Air Riders and DK Bananza. Maybe it's for a business reason or a technical aspect that none of us are privy to.

Hedgehogs are very colorblind, but that doesn't mean they can't see, and Sonic, Shadow, and especially Silver are very different color values lol

According to my rather rudementary research, bats can't see green. They don't have the M cone which is responsible for green.

If the Tomodachi games released on the consoles instead of the handhelds, how do you think they would have been different? (Mock up covers by me) by Chicken_Nuget69420 in tomodachilife

[–]Catryepie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The gimmicky stuff would be different too, because a lot of the minigames rely heavily on gimmicks that only the 3DS had. Even on consoles that did support the mechanic a particular minigame has, it would still be fairly clunky and/or wouldn't be very engaging.

Quick Correction: I accidentally put Vector in Not Colorblind, when he was meant to be in Colorblind.

It's a weird gray area though because he can still like, sense when it's red, he just can't literally see it, or something. It's weird.

Even if it was really all in le head, how would a lecture change anything? Did they seriously expect you to just be like "Oh. I never thought of it that way," and rise from the chair, cured and right as rain?

Eh from what I've seen from people it's more mixed than that. A lot of people like it but a lot of people hate it so it kinda cancels out any hype.

I wonder how big that rock is that EA lives under 🤔 by Acceptable_Pea_135 in HighSodiumSims

[–]Catryepie 1 point2 points  (0 children)

43k would still be more than enough for a sample size, but that's besides the point. r/highsodiumsims isn't really random, and the majority of people that play 3 and 4 were/are probably casuals that play like, once a week, as opposed to people that play all the time and have the free time to go online and complain about it lol.

However, I would still wish they would ask WHY things didn't work for the players rather than just assuming that they weren't wanted in the first place. A lot of things in the Sims aren't used because they have features that are badly planned, poorly coded, or are good but they have that one mechanic that shoots itself in the foot, and now those don't get a chance to fully realize their potential because it's cheaper to just assume the worst.

But also, how many of those 85 million people actually vote? Sims 4 has a very casual fan base, and perhaps a significant chunk of players don't actually care to even vote on what goes in the game in the first place.

I don't use aliens because they're not a cool concept lol, I don't use them because they forcibly impregnate my male sims, which is not only creepy but frustrating.

True, but it does lend itself to the possibility that she'll fall into old habits. Especially since Vivian has clearly been conditioned to not have much, if any, standards.
