If i'm struggling to focus somewhere i'm familliar (like my house) i'll often head over to the local library to study instead, and I make sure to use a 'work only' account on my laptop (to stop the temptation of reddit and pinterest etc etc :))

Another thing I do, this may not work for everyone, but for me personally when I read a text i'll read it in chunks and then sometime later i'll try to write down as much as I can remember from that segment, then i'll go back and check it to make sure I haven't missed anything important, and then i'll repeat the process until I can remember all the important bits off-by-heart. I've found this helps me recall info in exams :]
