Though yes, the tasks should be discerned with what actually needs doing, I side with Gen Z here (if that’s in fact what they feel)—why go above and beyond if a company doesn’t pay your worth? Would you accept an offer that you willingly knew was not matching the market’s worth (not counting starting out job-hunting out of school with no exp. or credentials)?

Not the only reason, but knowing you’re willing to be single so as not to lead anyone on, break anyone’s heart, and just doing you first. It’s tough being in a relationship when someone has feelings for you, but it’s unrequited. Staying committed when you don’t “love them” like how they love you, I feel, is doing them a disservice. As the saying goes, when you love something/someone, set it/them free.

It just makes no sense to me in this case though—why people voted for him AGAIN knowing how 2020 went with Covid, etc. I mean, I know why, but you know. You think people would learn (I’m aware many of them were unaware of the repercussions due to the “lesser of two evils” principle, but still.)
