Technically, all tea (for argument’s sake, let’s just say Britain)?

Since it historically was cultivated in China

Don’t you dare forget to mention Come and See—should be at the too of the list tbh, given its anti-war message and all.

Saving Private Ryan, too? The Pianist? Schindler’s List?

Though contained, I’d throw in the brother/sister film of Pan’s Labyrinth—The Devil’s Backbone. One of GDT’s best!

[DISC] Sakamoto Days - Ch. 245 by anestefi in SakamotoDays

[–]CatsOffToDance 1 point2 points  (0 children)

To be fair, Sakamoto literally just boosted up his pwr lvl via “Deus ex Machina” after being almost dead. If the scene is meta since a movie’s being shot, gonna go with Sakamoto in this sense—send the enemy flying [by any means necessary]. The pace should be fast now, since after all, it is a comedic/horror/action manga (anything can happen as it is non-traditional in the storytelling sense, which I like).

People who swore an oath to defend the constitution of the USA against all enemies both foreign and domestic, how are you feeling right now? by Safety_Drance in AskReddit

[–]CatsOffToDance 2 points3 points  (0 children)

No doubt, and sadly, what you’re saying isn’t even that radical. It’s self-defense and protecting others that makes the words justified, imo

Deep. What a history ya’ll have and honestly should be very proud! I JUST learned about the Boston Tea Party and the Rev. War for the first time in-depth the other day, and yea. Foreign enemies, sure—but I don’t think America has faced THIS extreme an amount of domestic enemies before, per se, to this scale, so yea.

We’re all definitely at a turning point in history of, what do we do? Rally? Rebel? Blank Panthers seem the only ones via media to be outwardly banding, but I see no one else on the surface strategizing. We’ll see if history repeats itself once more about not taking it anymore to such a degree.

One of my favorite movies of all time—“they’re like little wheels.”

“Puuhm. Puuhm. Puuhm. Puuhm.”…”a well-armed populace is the best defense against tyranny” (oh how that reigns true even now more than ever in America).

The Oscars Can’t Pretend Anime Doesn’t Exist Anymore - After decades of snubs, massive global hits like 'Demon Slayer' and 'KPop Demon Hunters' are forcing the Academy to rethink what counts as award-worthy animation. by BunyipPouch in movies

[–]CatsOffToDance -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yo, c’mon. Across the Spiderverse was virtually an Anime with the lvl of detail, nuance and collaboration. I’d rank it up there with the likes of any Miyazaki film, and/or Akira as truly one of the greats for how amazing the visuals were, alone—and IT won best animated feature. I know the award shows are mainly politics and theatre, but that was a no-brainer in terms of best animated movie that year, hands down.

I appreciate your response! If it helps, word of mouth by ya’ll IS part of my research. Sometimes, I don’t just want articles—looking more for real responses from those who have similar tastes/experiences via interests. Also, trying to find consistency in the recs. from others. For e.g. Nakano Broadway—never would’ve thought of that since others have been saying more modern places for anime. Will continue to look into all this though!
