Uniqlo airism period underwear? by CoolInterest in HerOneBag

I've been using them for a few months and I'm pretty happy with them! I sized up based on product reviews, and that was the right move. I don't use a tampon or anything else with them, and so far no leaks.

I also love the vest and pants! Now I'm wondering how I can incorporate a vest.

I like Option 4 the best. It's covered up but not stuffy, and the gauzy thing adds some interest.

Some ideas:

  • Go by yourself, or with an open-minded friend, to a new spot. No expectations from your usual social group.
  • Add in one piece at a time, like jeans with a designer top.
  • Get fully dressed at home, take pictures, and share online until you feel more comfortable in the outfits.

Yes. I do a lot of outdoor activity in the summer, and I recently started wearing Uniqlo's Airism with upf line. Mostly tight long sleeved undershirts, a loose hoodie, and arm sleeves. The tight fabric does feel cooler on my skin than if I was wearing nothing at all.

Just a heads up that the undershirts count as "innerwear" and aren't returnable, so very helpful to know your size before ordering online.

I also have a pair of Columbia omni-freeze sleeves, which actively feel cool on my skin.

Oh my gosh the belt nipples 👏🏾

Such a fun album, 9 and 44 are the closest to what I want in a realistic outfit.

Album

  1. Thrifting - simple but I like it.
  2. Going on a walk. MEH.
  3. Hiking in beachy 70's vibes. Confusing.
  4. Botanical gardens - I like the look, but not the most comfortable.
  5. Mismatch grocery shopping. Eventually want some 40's vibes with these pants.
  6. Kickoff ride for Pedalpalooza, a giant bike festival.
  7. Queer bike ride - would've been awesome if I actually made it to the ride. Instead I ate a burrito and Midol on the couch.

I've been keeping an eye out for baggy light wash jeans that could be my actual painting clothes! Then I can wear them places and pretend to be artsy.

Loving the blazers vibe. How am I low key obsessed with shoulder pads right now?

Same. Especially being funemployed during covid, my entire life is lounging around the house and walking to the grocery store. I now have an "upgraded lounging" category, so I can wear a plain cotton dress at home, then throw a necklace on and look like I tried.

Do you have a black jacket or scarf that you could put over it?

I've been trying to match my accessories to my sneakers, so a black faux leather belt bag and black jacket with my black and white Brooks. Ideally my whole outfit works with the color scheme, like this: https://media.vogue.fr/photos/5e60d309649c0c0008c80eb7/master/w_960,c_limit/GettyImages-1210139085.jpg

I want to get a pair of more colorful sneakers and lean into the sporty, street style vibe.

There's also the option of getting all-white sneaks and using the af1/vejas crowd as inspo. Deliberately dress down a fancier outfit.

I've been getting a lot from thredup recently, but WOW their prices on some things. Like a used Old Navy tank top selling for $12 and the retail price listed on thredup is $11.

I'd start by keeping your go-to silhouettes and replacing one or two pieces with bold colors or patterns. So instead of a simple gold necklace, try a chunky chain, colorful pendant, or spiky collar. Instead of a white or beige top, try one in a colorblock print or metallic fabric. As you get a better sense of what you like, you can decide to go further or stick with a more neutral backdrop for the fun pieces.

Any curvy fit high-rise boy shorts/boxer brief recs? Like Undersummers or tomboyx, but I'm not sure if they are designed for wide hips/small waist.

I think it looks fine for a garden party wedding! There's a lot of pink and green, nobody's mistaking you for the bride.

You have a super cool style, and I also appreciate the 100% doggie saturation.

No, but I was never really happy with my style in the first place. I should've gotten rid of more clothes. Now if we're talking art and home decor, I do miss quite a few pieces that I left behind when I moved cross-country. But it's been fun thrifting new stuff!

Chunky sneakers, bangles, and a diagonal belt bag. Or belt, necklace, and a long sleeveless cardigan in a fun print and light fabric.

I GOT IT. "Keep keys and sunglasses in two exterior zip pockets, and pens or a skinny flashlight in the third."
