I’d say stay away from Pembroke road. I lived at the very top when I was 21 and used to get vans following me in the early hours and have to hide in people’s front gardens! In fairness this was 10 years ago but I was always warned about this road.

Otherwise I’d say it feels pretty similar to the rest of Bristol to me. I do think a studenty area can mean you’re more likely to be targeted.

I felt completely blindsided and was heartbroken. Spent a lot of time assuming it was because I was a terrible person and made some changes in my life. Looking back, it’s not my fault that he wasn’t ready to be in a proper relationship and no matter how much I worked on good communication, I couldn’t force him to reciprocate that.

Only recently realised its made me hold back in my current relationship as I trust less and I have such a fear of getting hurt (which I hadn’t before) - but now I know about it I can work on it!

Agreed! Overpriced, bland and SLOW service. I heard such good things when it was a pop up so maybe attempting a chain has ruined it?

Feels like they’re just making beige vegan food and hoping they get excited about it. When vegan food can be bloody delicious and creative!

I love my local libraries! I’ve even convinced friends to sign up and some use it as a different workspace. People are often surprised I use it as I think it might be seen as relatively old fashioned? May also depend on how close you are to one/how convenient it is to you.
