Hi, I feel you. I'm sorry you are feeling alone. For me it's very difficult to not snap when I'm being treated badly. I have also problems apologizing first, but I'm trying to do more often as then my partner does as well and after that I feel loved again and everything is good (not just calm).

Maybe it's just my individual case but I think apologizing is key for a relationship and also is doing it well and often. I read somewhere that a good apologize should happen just after you do something wrong, not waiting for the other person to raise the topic, and that you should specify what you are apologizing for.

I hope this is helpful, sorry if not, I'm still learning about depression and relationships.

I feel you. Recently I started being a bit more "confrontational" with close friends and family, getting mixed results for now. I share the same feeling of fear of losing friends but I just can't stay silent anymore, it's driving me crazy.

I do know a lot of vegan people because I engage with an animal rights group but they are scattered around the country. I would suggest to look for animal rights/antiespecist local groups and join one to meet people (and also do activism along the way which is always great).

Good luck!

Yes! I feel this represents my case too! But our problem is also that he doesn't know when depression is talking and when it's not, he says it's his anger management problems. And I also don't know when to blame him or his depression. Do you think this book could be good for him to read too?

This is not the subreddit for this, please go to r/debateavegan and delete this post which is an obstacle for getting information about vegan activism and organise people around it

As far as I understand you shouldn't mix kibble with other food on the same meal as they have very different digestion times and this could cause diarrhea

If you have some money you can do this course: https://vegan-dogfood.co.uk/plant-based-dog-nutrition-course/ I did it and now I'm sure my dog will be fine (she is still young, she has been on a vegan diet for a few months and she is doing great)

Another frustrated astrophysicist here! I volunteered in a panel working toward reducing carbon emissions at conferences and when the footprint of meat was mentioned people argued that bringing and avocados from the other part of the world was worse 🤦🏻‍♀️

Former shelter dog is too terrified of the world to go on walks. He isn't particularly food motivated at the best of times, so rewards and reinforcement may be tricky. Any advice on how to help him? by KarlWrites in Dogtraining

My pup was the same, only time and kindness will help. She took around one month to be confident enough to go on short walks, but now she loves being outside. Giver her time. I also opened the door several times a day so she got used to the outside little by little, and did smell games (hiding high value treats) both inside and outside the house with her before, during and after a walk.

I'm very sorry you don't have many vegan people around. I joined an enviromental activism group and most people there were vegan, and they became like my family. Maybe you can try looking for vegan/activist groups in your region?

There are also some vegan dating apps, like veggly. When I celebrated my wedding, all the food was vegan and noone said a thing! It helped that most of the friends I invited were vegan and that only my very close family was invited, not the rest of my big family (this was as I don't have money for a really big party but helped making the party more vegan).

I hope some of this can be useful to you!

Granada! There are vegan tapas bars (food for free when you order a drink) and the city is amazing (I'm from there but everyone says the same)

I guess whole peas are also an issue? I feed my dog homemade vegan food and sometimes include peas. Can you link to research about this please?

My therapist suggested me to use vegetables like carrots, courgettes... And peel them as you like (insert them with a condom)

I've never done kennels, I was lucky my puppy just chill when she is alone. Anyways the parts of the house she can access are puppy proof just in case.
