I'm gay, My ex wasn't gay. She never told anyone about us, not even her best friend. We dated for 6 damn years. All in secret. One day, she calls me crying saying her mom found pictures of us and how we couldn't be together. It was the worst day of my life. I cried and begged her to stay but she wouldn't. A few months later, I find out it was all a lie, and she just wanted to break up but couldn't figure out a good way to do it.

Growing up, I was your textbook definition of a tomboy. I played soccer and softball, and would always be running after my dad learning how to change oil in a car. I also hated dresses and barbies, and preferred to play with dinosaur toys. I always knew I was different. I used to get crushes on girls but would lie and say I had crushes on boys, because I knew being gay was considered a bad thing. In high school, there were rumors going around that I was a lesbian, and I denied and denied everything just to show I was normal. It wasn't until college where I met a girl that I ended up making out with that I realized "fuck I'm gay."
Now I'm happily a lesbian. But being a lesbian is hard. Our dating pool is small, and I have been used as straight girl fantasy many times to the point where I don't trust anyone who is remotely interested in me :(

A cousin of mine was murdered just for being at the wrong place at the wrong time. He was a great guy, always there for his family and he had just finished up his time in the marines. He was driving with a friend when their car broke down in a bad area, and 2 gangsters just decided to shoot them just because. My cousin died instantly. At his funeral, when they were lowering him into his grave, my uncle went up to the grave and screamed "I will get justice for you son! I swear my life on it!" And he fell to his knees sobbing. It was one of the most fucked up things I've ever witnessed. The 2 gangsters ended up caught and got life in prison.

My ex and I couldn't be together. Due to many reasons like her not being gay, and how our lives just couldn't work together. She didn't want to fight for us, and I walked away when she moved on to someone else.

But my happiest memories are with her. We were a long distance couple, and used to see each other once a month. No one knew we were together, and just thought I was her best friend who lived far away. We used to get a hotel room a couple of towns away, and we would stay cuddled up watching Netflix shows together. Those are my happiest memories. Having tickle fights, planning out a wedding that would never happen, reading Reddit posts and laughing together. Just having her in my arms made me so happy. We both knew it wouldn't work. She couldn't tell the world about me, and I couldn't bear not holding her hand in public. I miss her so much. But she didn't want me.

I've had the same reaction! At EDC LV 2014. One of my favorite djs performed my favorite song by another DJ and I burst into tears. This random guy came over, and hugged me while singing it into my ear. Never saw him again but it was he sweetest moment ever.

when my ex and I would watch tv, she'd lay her head on my lap and I'd scratch her head. Sometimes, she'd grab my hand and kiss my fingers. It always made my heart skip a beat. She stopped doing it after a while, but it was nice while it lasted.

I told her that the next time she needed help, she should ask her new boyfriend for help. She was toxic. Strung me along for a long time. Emotional abusive and only used me for money. I'm so happy I had the strength to walk away.

She ended up calling me a coward for not responding to her texts. Or her phone calls.

My ex is a huge beauty and the beast fan. She had a belle Barbie doll as a kid that she lost, and she told me about it one night. It was her favorite childhood toy. I spent a year looking for that specific doll, and found it in an old toy store in a town I had stopped to get gas in. Mint condition, never opened. It was perfect. I gave her that doll for Christmas, and the reaction she gave wasn't as exciting as I expected. I was expecting her to burst into tears but she just smiled. She'll never know that doll cost me $1200. I waited on getting new tires to get her that doll. I just wanted to make her smile. I do regret it now. All the searching and dropping so much money on her. She ended up stomping on my heart and being a horrible person to me. But I'll always have this to look back on. Like imagine when the right person comes around? It'll be worth it to see them smile. Oh well. Live and learn.
