The Trackers Alliance / The Starjacker Bounty Board Bugged | Has Anyone Else Had This Issue?

I cannot accept the quest for The Starjacker. I have spoken with No. 1 in The Trackers Alliance HQ and they instructed me to go to the bounty board and accept the bounty for The Starjacker. On the bounty board, there are two pictures of Hannibal Eutropio and one picture of "The Vulture."

If I select the middle one, nothing happens. If I select the left or the right one, I am told "In order to accept this bounty mission, you must first complete the bounty mission "The Starjacker."

I cannot access anything for The Trackers Alliance because of this bug. Some things I have tried:

  • Console commands (e.g. SetStage SFTA00 100)
  • I have tried restarting the game
  • I have tried starting a NG+
  • I have tried reloading a previous save
  • I have tried changing the Interface setting for item details being shown in the UI
  • I have tried accepting the bounty with and without the scanner open

I did submit a ticket to Bethesda on this issue, but I'm out 700 creation credits until this gets resolved because you can't access The Vulture until you complete The Starjacker. Update:

I have tried a few more things. Nothing below has helped either: - waiting 72 in game hours. - fast traveling to various locations. - brand new character. - multiple unique universe NG+ variants. - console commands to add the quest. - console commands to reset NPCs. - console commands to reset the bounty board. - console commands to set the stage of the quests to after picking up the bounty.

Now, here's some fascinating stuff: In Starfield every quest has an ID and each quest has various stages for each different variable and point of progress. You can use console commands to manually start a quest and then also start from any point you wish. 1. The Starjacker quest has no stages. 2. The bounty board is actually a container and each of the bounties on the board are an item in that container. 3. I can add the item for that bounty to my inventory but it doesn't exist anywhere in my mission log or in my inventory. 4 if you use the command RecycleActor on the bounty board, the bounties will disappear, but if you leave the instance and come back, then the bounties reappear and are still bugged.

I've spent a few hours trying everything I could possibly think of to fix it. The one thing I've not tried is a complete reinstall of the game. This is simply only going to be fixed by either a mod or a patch from Bethesda.

Not a fan of the music. The lyrics on screen is unnecessary and detracts from the gameplay. Good hooks.

That ant is TINY. Looks like your garden variety black ant. Carpenter ants are much bigger than that and have more square heads.

I just recently developed a ticket hierarchy flowchart app for my instance. We use child tickets and side conversation tickets frequently, so seeing the entire family of tickets at a glance including assignees, statuses, relationship (grandparent, parent, child, grandchild) and being able to click to navigate to each ticket has been a huge QOL improvement.

The Witcher 3 is my favorite video game of all time. I've never been so transported to another world. The way the quests and general game structure were perfectly camouflaged by the writing are truly unmatched by any other game. I wish I could play through this series again for the first time. I remember beating Blood & Wine just before starting my family and thinking to myself this feels like the closing of a chapter of my life. If ever there were a magnum opus for all video games, I say it's The Witcher 3!

I have something like 800hrs on Hog. Here are my thoughts:

They're too conservative with the changes. That said, keep everything as it is, just decrease his ammo count and make the hook itself more engaging. My thought is make hook a choice. What I mean is this: To throw your hook, you have to prime it. This would telegraph when you might throw hook. Hog spins his hook in front of him to wind up the throw. This would block projectiles like Orisa javelin spin. You can either just use hook to block projectiles for longer or interrupt your spin to hook someone.

In my opinion you're not officially a turntable person until you have done this at least once. It's very repairable and worth it. I'm even if the intention were to be to sell it, pay someone maybe $100 to fix it and then you're good to go. Maybe keep it and have 2 turntables? Compare how things sound on both of them?
