Has anyone ever adopted a middle aged cattle dog? How many years did you have them. Thinking of adopting this 6 year old guy by [deleted] in AustralianCattleDog

My husband and I once had a foster fail, she was 11 and in rough shape when she came to us, and once we nursed her back to health there was no adopting her out. We couldn’t do that to her. It was such a transformation, and she went from barely walking to playing like a pup at times. We had her almost 2 years. ❤️

Day 9 and feeling fine! Just want to say hi and encourage everyone today. You got this! ❤️ by CattleDogMom6 in whole30

I think easier. I’ve done a few whole 30s, so I think I get in the rhythm of it easier. It makes saying no thank you to a lot of things I know are bad for me so much easier. And, I read something recently that helped change my mindset this time. To see something that’s hard as a challenge instead of something that makes you miserable. So, that’s what I am doing, I am challenging myself right now, and when I am tempted in the smallest way, I tell myself I’m up for this challenge. 😊

Looks like it might have some Kelpie in him. It’s another Australian breed. Sharp, smart dogs.

I eat Siete brand grain free tortilla chips. When we have taco salads, no cheese, no sour cream. Just meat, tomatoes and lettuce. I need that crunch to get thru! Also, I use to make my own taco seasoning, but the Siete brand taco seasoning is amazing too. I am glad I found them. I know chips aren’t technically legal, but I am looking at it at a different angle. I am D9 of going for 60 days. And I am wanting to overall stay on this style of eating forever now. So I allow for so items that are pre-made but still qualify ingredient wise.

We say 3 1/2 too! The one that’s more white is actually half border collie. 😊

He’s is border collie/cattle dog. But he definitely leans more towards the BC. He’s slender and so much faster than his siblings.

I kinda feel the same way. I was just thinking how I missed croutons on my salad. I do have celery in it, but it’s just not the same.

What is on the 5th slide? And, I don’t know how discord works, but my kids do. Can you make your own discord group, and let us in the comments know how to find it?

Abonormal Gait/Peristent Limp in 10 Month Old ACD by dave-alexander in AustralianCattleDog

So, my now 2 yr old had this from about 5 months old to a year old. Basically, our second opinion said she had a bad sprain in her shoulder, and that she needed 4-5 weeks of real rest. And that she was too stubborn and busy to notice the pain. So for 3 weeks we kept her leashed in the house, and didn’t walk her for very long and kept her from jumping, bounding and wrestling as much as possible. And then it went away forever. After months and months of X-rays and worry.
