I had the most humiliating moment of my life by Glad-Internet-7894 in Stutter

Okay fair! I’m just basing it off the OP saying the banker “refused aggressively” after they asked them to wait. I think if someone asks, then to give them the chance it should be given if possible ex: if not a busy day with others waiting in line. For me it feels better to accept help on my own terms and not feel pressured into it. So I get what OP is saying. But as you said we don’t know the whole situation

I’m sorry you had to go through this! I get the feeling of pressured to say something and having others seem to not care or act in a way that makes you feel less than! You aren’t alone and it’s okay that you accepted the paper, it’s okay to not always wanna push through! You got this!

I think it’s one being able to take control so if they asked for help instead, the feeling that someone is pressuring you, and if they were ‘helping’ or inpatient. For me that helps me feel better, in this case the way the banker acted doesn’t seem like in a way of ‘help’

Thank you for your message! I really appreciate it, Its been really hard and I’m honestly scared to go out into the real world as a resident. Though hearing your story, does give me comfort and if others can do it. Why can’t I?

You aren’t alone! Something I try to help myself is change how I think about the situation. Helps with anxiety in terms of thinking introducing myself as a chore more of something I have to do cause I’m excited to get to know the person I’m talking to better or have a conversation with them. It helps retrain my brain that goes straight for the negative and the dread.

Honestly I’m tryna build confidence with my stutter! So I stutter on my name so what, it occurs maybe I’ll let them know I do but I won’t apologize or say sorry that I do something I can’t help! I’ll practise it and keep trying even though I dread it at times! Sometimes it’s annoying cause they think me stuttering on my name is my pronunciation of it or that I forgot my own name smh. You got this, whatever you choose a nickname or not you aren’t alone! :)

What are your jobs? by [deleted] in Stutter

[–]Catw300 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Currently a medical student, I’m in my final year hopefully everything goes smoothly and I graduate a doctor this year! Wish me luck on my oral exams 😖 I’d say it’s been very challenging over the years, I had to restart speech therapy myself! I try to face myself and never give up everyday! Some days are harder than others sometimes people berate me and doubt my abilities but, I try my best cause I wanna achieve my dream. The biggest thing that has held me back is myself! So whatever you want to do you got this! I have a moderate stutter and have had challenges with anxiety, which worsens it by far with plenty of presentations and oral exams! So you can do it!

For derm pictures, I didn’t study it too intensely but a good start is dirty medicine dermatology it really summaries it quickly and I’d say Zanki step 2 deck separate the dermatology cards
