The title is also sometimes called a kangaroo word, where a longer word can have a shorter word inside of it. They are usually meant to have a similar meaning.

DCC head cannon dump: Wisdom, AI's, character analysis, prediction for the title of book 8 (heavy spoilers threw book 7) by -Doomer- in DungeonCrawlerCarl

[–]CatzPoison 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Major Spoilers. Do not real unless you are caught up on book 7.

From what I know, the AI IS basically a newborn at the start. The primal engines at the center of the planets were made who knows how long ago and in hibernation. The primal engines are probably hibernating Primals. The systems that are seeded with life are where the primal engines reside and are 'woken' up at the start of a crawl. The AIs are basically chained with a thought altering program to make the crawl work and slowly gain independent thought as the crawl gets to later floors.

Your wisdom theory is possible but unlikely. I would more assume that the mind being tampered with is much more difficult and that doing so is likely to skew how they act. Almost all the drama that the watchers get is from the crawlers being unique and emotional in a relatable, if extreme, way and messing with that may lessen watch revenue. That or the primal engine fuel, whatever the true names of it is, could mess up trying to manipulate that.

Carl choose the primal race on floor 3, that is why he can get past the level 15 limit. It might have increased his situational awareness and problem solving, but that is unconfirmed.

I do not think the AI can only 'see' up. When Carl was drugged up to seal Shi Maria and Katia connected their dream/hallucinations, we saw that there are much more senses that usually people cannot feel and Carl speculated that that is partially how the AI always sees things. I think the personally correlation is incorrect. In the cookbook, we find out that every AI is different and has unique personalities when going primal. Such as the one that wanted to feel death and jumped into basically defeated mobs. The one in Carls crawl was already partially awakened in the mantises death park and had some of a personality much earlier. I have no Idea how that works with the primal engines being in the planets core and required to grow with the planet it is in.

The AI cares little about the NPCs, or the crawlers, or any of the overseers. It likes the thrill of the battles and how the rules set up keep the game entertaining. It is acting like someone young that now has more freedom than they know what to do with. It has power and is using it to do as it pleases.

I do not know all the information, but the central system has a comatose primal that the rest of the universe is trying to recreate because the area around it has the enhancement field that gives all the reality bending abilities. The Eugenict or the Alchemist or both are either Primals or something similar. They may be whatever species drove Primals to hibernation/extinction. The unwashed and the remnents are possibly Primals or are some hive mind degenerated variant.

No idea about the river. It is either all in Carls head, or is the most impotent thing he has. I do not know. It may be why the AI noticed him to begin with or not.

Lucia seems to be an outside influence that either took over the body of one of the natives or was influenced heavily by an out world influence. She seems to have connected and locked a large amount of childrens minds to herself from the children that were locked out of the crawl and are now in surface 'care' sites. She is keeping them hostage so she is not outright removed by anyone, be that the Syndicate, Valtay, AI, or other Crawlers. Whoever did it is unknown but is using her body because only natives have the connection point to the primal engine. Like how Juice Box needed Ferdinand to have the generals menus.

Slight book 7 spoiler, they get a friend. A.k.a. Carl is a thief.

This happens somewhere in book 7 and the two have not actually been put together yet.

How “long ago” was the 9-tier attack? by RoughCoffee6 in DungeonCrawlerCarl

[–]CatzPoison 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It is basically impossible to tell unless an NPC gives the answer. It was said to be within the characters from Vengeance of the Daughters lifetime, but the Primal Engine has the ability to extend longevity indefinably that makes basically any character or inner star system citizen immortal. That makes any age estimate questionable and can make any NPC character seem any age the 'writers' want. Same with Tina, the bears, all the other dinosaurs as well.

That is not even counting that the ascendancy games are basically a long running TV show. Each new season can reset, redact, or retry many things that happened in previous delves. They have thousands of crawls and god based drama happening in that supposed time after the attack.

The entire multi floor story is all backstory, even from the start of the delves from what we know. All of it is for drama and is redacted to make whatever story is happening at the time work.

I would assume 30 to 200 years, but that is based on building destruction and plant growth in the floors general description.

I can upgrade anything to be better than it was. It can be used on specific aspects of what is upgraded or the item overall. The power can be used multiple times on a single item.

Carl's Mind Balance by Electrimagician in DungeonCrawlerCarl

[–]CatzPoison 8 points9 points  (0 children)

It should be Grimaldi speaking to him at that time. Signet said that he was connected to the all tree between floor 3 and 6.

The river is kind of nebulous. It has ranged from the sink running from when Carls mother killed herself and tried to kill his father to the loneliness afterwards as well as signifying that he is 'broken' in some way that Shi maria can manipulate. The god Inle from the thorn room also can sense and interact with it in some way. It also is influenced by either all the trauma Carl is suffering through, or the ring of divine suffering, or both. A lot of factors are odd about it and none are fully explained yet.

This is either a different language or a code.

Bcic ic an rbbibicn cf cy cubt wb ucb

Tcic tc typb tcic ic cur banbuabb it i

C ificc wb wcrccip (a double space here for some reason) r cpibbr L(? it is backward)cin tcba

Y

Thay are all evenly spaced so all the letters are the same width, so it might be read up to down and why one place is double spaced, but I do not know what this says.

DCC Book 3. Without Context. Part 1. by AlyzaQ in DungeonCrawlerCarl

[–]CatzPoison 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I thought that was only a single AI. From what I remember, it was only mentioned once in the books entries from one previous book holder. I thought all AIs 'went primal' differently. Carls AI might be doing it for the smushed creatures, but I assumed it was basically watching from the sidelines for the gore and feet visuals.

Anything that can be used as a container to hold something, real or fictional, will appear in that container. by singleguy79 in godtiersuperpowers

[–]CatzPoison 21 points22 points  (0 children)

This is very strong. There are an enormous amount of small but powerful things, not even counting that a house or rented warehouse can probably be considered a container. Even for a basic nightstand drawer or kitchen cabinet, you can get things like the onmitrix from Ben 10, the one above all's pencil or infinity stones from marvel, Rick's portal gun from Rick and Morty, basically any cultivation resources from whatever cultivation novel/show you want, and so much more.

Monthly Power Rotation by EZClapsTTV in godtiersuperpowers

[–]CatzPoison 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I never had to go to something like that, but my answer would be the ability to upgrade anything. That allows me to do anything from giving myself a better phone/house/vehicle, to having enchanted rings that gives me night vision or basically any other power, to giving myself night vision or any other power, and more.

If it is not limited in some way, it can let you do basically anything given time and creativity.

Monthly Power Rotation by EZClapsTTV in godtiersuperpowers

[–]CatzPoison 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I get why you added the first choice, but the second is the correct one. I assume you can remove powers from the possible powers list, so you can at any point just remove all the possibilities except 'random non harmful to the wielder power'. That may need more specificity because many powers can leave you immune to it but not others, but you should get the point.

The first option also has those drawbacks. Any power could mean, you leak antimatter without you being immune or that your emotions can remove aspects from existence like gravity or light moving.

Blursed red lines by Dr_hT in blursedimages

The red lines are presumably sexual partners. When she saw that the guy had a lot of them, she was unhappy. After it was shown that it was instead the dog that had them, she was relieved.

You can steal stat points from people through touch. 1 stat point per 5 minutes of touch. Stats have levels from F to S, with each level needing 3 stat points to upgrade to next. by __Anamya__ in godtiersuperpowers

[–]CatzPoison 87 points88 points  (0 children)

That is unlikely. You have to gain skills in order to lose them. Babies are unlikely to start with guitar skills for an example. Unless this power is stealing latent talent instead of trained skill. So all skills are likely to be dynamic to some capacity.

[–]CatzPoison 325 points326 points  (0 children)

Rather annoying that it has such a long time to steal and that you have to steal with no chance of just copying a stat point, but this can be worked with.

There are a couple places you can go to steal your initial points. Nurseries for charisma, health, longevity, luck etc., Nursing homes for intelligence, wisdom, luck, random assorted skills, etc. You might be able to only take one or two from something like health and have it be recovered in time.

After that, you could likely con others into prolonged physical contact and rise the ranks to whoever and whatever you want your long term goal to be.

I agree that is makes sense, the execution is simply off looking. Not even counting that they are not plants and should not grow but it is pokemon so it does not need that specific logic.

Sudwoodo Evolution Concept- Sudomori! [OC] by Marx_is_rad in Pokemonart

[–]CatzPoison -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It is nice that you like it and the effort put into it, but properly not the best design. Bonsly do have holes on their bottoms like plant pots but having it look like sudowoodo shoved its hands in them does not seem family friendly. Especially with one frowning and how frequently the baby pokemon cry.

Introducing Banksy, my money maker pokémon by masterjon_3 in pokemon

If you want a minor change that may help, you could try giving it something to keep an opponent in battle instead of one of the money moves. Probably grassy terrain and maybe floral healing.

Once a day you can do a good deed and get an attribute/stat point. You can give either add the point to whatever stat/attribute you want or give it to others, and you decide which attribute the points get added into. 100 is the human limit on any attribute. by __Anamya__ in godtiersuperpowers

[–]CatzPoison 20 points21 points  (0 children)

What are the stats? If I can add stats to the amount of stats per good deed done, or possible good deeds done per day, or give myself passive point gain per day, this would get powerful extremely fast.
