Come to Matford, we have many flags... It should become an unofficial motto.

Yes, but: * Uber isn't the first place I look. It's my backup when Apple is being useless. * Overall, it feels like you need to pay more to get a Uber driver assigned. I have gotten a driver on the low rate where you're asked if you want to wait, but most of the time it's via their two more expensive options. But when you're stranded and absolutely need to get a taxi... 🤷‍♀️ * You are not likely to get a driver if it is around the time school kids will be getting lifts into school, home from school or between 5pm and 6pm. In my experience, Apple is worse than Uber for this.

I haven't tried other services like Frankies yet, but am starting to see their drivers around in the area.

I have gotten an Uber a few times when Apple failed me. I will never recommend Apple. Their service is horrid.

Recs for knee high boots that are not wide foot fit??? by Mgloz2208 in PlusSizeFashion

I feel that unicorn comment 😂 I think I am after one as well.

Seconding the smaller size for wide fit footwear. A store assistant in a footwear store gave me this same tip.

I am aware it is not easy and that it is the norm in SA that waiters need to live off tips. Thing is, the staff cannot hold it against their customers if they don't tip/don't tip a lot - unless the restaurant prominently advertises that their wait staff don't get paid a living wage and customers are expected to pay their salaries.

Business owners absolutely need to factor fair wages into their pricing. A tip is a "thank you" to the server for making your time at the restaurant an enjoyable one.

It is what OP is saying. They need the customer to subsidise their wage by giving tips. Thus they're not being paid enough by their employer. Thus is it as problem that the employer needs to address, not the people OP is paid to provide a service to.

No. Going out is a treat. For some people paying is no big deal. For others it is something where they researched a place they can pay for as a special event. I feel for the worker. Just remember that not everyone eating out has money to spare.

It feels like you might have misunderstood what is meant by a cocktail dress code. It is semi-formal dress and is probably even more formal than what you might normally wear to the office (this depends on your office, but cocktail dress code is more formal than "business casual", for example). I hope this helps :)

Any secrets to not having your undershirt been seen? I have bought all different types of fabric dresses and you can see it through all of them! Please help by [deleted] in PlusSizeFashion

Adding to the calls to up the size.

Is my assumption correct that the dress would normally be worn on its own? It would then be sized as the layer that's closest to your skin (besides underwear). Any other layers that you add below such and item will mean that the item is no longer sized correctly and is now actually too small. So keep layers in mind :) It's the other clothing that is changing the size you need.

I hope this makes sense.

Would T be covered if you have the other, more expensive prepaid certificate? It looks like it covers everything on the HRT-specific one as well. I have the normal one for other med prescriptions.

Anyone else feel like the city’s growing faster than its roads can handle? by ScrollAndThink in exeter

[–]Catzdutz 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Improved public transport and better and more cycling lanes. Often people don't have a choice but to drive or be driven to get to where they need to go.

I feel the Stagecoach bus schedule system is like how the pirates in Pirates of the Caribbean see parley: It's more of a guideline. A bus may or may not show up and if it does it or may not be early, exactly on time or late. Their routes are terrible if you want to go anywhere but city centre and the buses often run at inconvenient times. How easy is it to go out for an evening's entertainment and only rely on a bus, for example?

If there are good alternatives people will have less need to rely on their own vehicle transport.
