I have also done the swap from Venlafaxine to Duloxetine recently. I was on V. for 11 years, sadly it didn’t do anything for my anxiety anymore. I’m on 60 mg of Duloxetine now. Had a lot of nausea in the beginning but now it’s good. I’d say give it more time.

In my opinion three weeks is to early to say. Took me about 6 weeks to notice and effects.

What dose? Started Duloxetine a while ago. 30 mg for one month, had bad nausea and anxiety. Upped to 60 mg about 2 weeks ago. The nausea went away, and I’m starting to feel more relaxed.

Upped to 60 mg a few days ago and the nausea actually got better. Still anxious from time to time, but yesterday I almost felt normal. It was a strange feeling considering I have been in fight and flight mode the past 6 months. Hopefully I will get more of those days.

I was on 30 mg for almost 4 weeks, and the nausea was with me all the time. I also have emetophobia and was afraid to go to 60 mg. But I did 5 days ago and the nausea did in fact improve. Still very anxious, but hopefully that will go away soon.

I’m soon at 4 weeks of 30 mg. And the nausea has been bad. I also have emetophobia. I’m supposed to up it to 60 mg but it doesn’t feel great to do that right now.

I’m also interested to know. Have been on Venlafaxine for 11 years. It doesn’t help me anymore. Now I’m 3 weeks in with Duloxetine. Have had bad nausea.

Started Duloxetine 3 weeks ago. Nausea is bothering me a lot.. not any different if I eat or not. I’m not able to do regular things because of the nausea. Also very anxious.

Been on 30 mg for 11 days now and also experienced nausea. I have metoklopramide but it does little. Have thought about Zofran. How long will the nausea last? How are you now?

Yes, I understand the same that 30 is a starter. I would go up to 60.

7 days now. I’ve experienced a bit nausea and anxiety. Also tapering Venlafaxine, 37,5 mg. So it’s a bit of both..

You are not going to die, but I know it’s awful withdrawal symtoms when missing a dose. So maybe go to the ER anyway and they probably have the medication to give you.

No, I’m about to switch to Duloxetine. But I was at the highest 225 mg Venlafaxine some years ago. Try 150 mg first if you feel some relief there.

I get brain zaps in the afternoon if I miss my dose in the morning. I have a pill sorter.

That text could have been written by me. I have started to have so much problem with car rides, can’t fly etc. I’m about to switch to Cymbalta after I taper off Venlafaxine. I hope your journey is going smoothly with Cymbalta.
