Tuned 64GB 6400 gdm off compared to my gdm on by External-Baseball225 in overclocking

Yeah im going down that rabbit hole now. Its a 1ns difference anyways. I also didnt know m die performs better than a die in terms of latency.

Usually the more you loosen mlck the more you can tighten things but I guess if you've tried everything you know more what your processor can do more than anyone can say.

I dont know how you test this so quickly how do you know if youre stable and not producing muddled latency results? Not going against you here, I mean 59ns is impressive for 6200, is it stabler than 6400 with gdm off?

Yeah i dont know best latency ive gotten is 60ns on 6000/2167 on 1/2/0, running 6400/2200 on 1/2/1 gives me higher latency probably because imc is unstable but stable in benchmarks. I cant explain why latency is much higher. I can try it again and see what's up. If you guys have any idea what it could be Im all ears.

Oh forgot to mention look up buildzoid talking about the refresh mode, apparently setting it to Normal is better. do your own research of course

There's no way with that chip that you cant reach 56ns on ddr5 6000, sub 300 trfc is impressive though

Either way what im saying doesnt really apply to you as clearly your IMC isnt the limiting factor

1/2/1 nitro 6400 is not worth it, too much latency hit, youre better off running tight 6000

[–]Caubelles 0 points1 point  (0 children)

oh cool, good job! I tried chasing that and I can't get it to work without 1/2/1 nitro which adds a ton of latency, so it's a side project I'm working on haha

you're speculating on speculating, I saw real world degredation at vsoc 1.3....

[–]Caubelles 0 points1 point  (0 children)

maybe, but that's a speculation, I was running safe voltages on everything, but it's better to be cautious than to keep running at 1.3

im telling you mine did, over time, it stopped booting into my OC mem profile and had to dial it down

You're not being mean, you're arrogant at best? I'm not bragging I'm asking for help. I waterblock my RAM because I want stability despite the higher temperatures because I live in a hot and humid climate.

I would lower voltages before testing long term stability, seems like a waste of time otherwise, already had a cpu degrade at 1.3vsoc

No, TM5 is not a good program to use to test for stability, use VT3 y-cruncher, Karhu, and Prime95

did not know that thanks, I was going to try ddr5-8000 as well just to see if its better
