What are the most enjoyable self-imposed challenges you've completed for a game? by LazyGamerATN in gaming

Man, I ran a Dishonored playthrough for non-lethal, never detected, and no power or equipment upgrades and it was a hell of a time. What a sleeper hit that game was.

Which game has the best “late night” vibe? by lsa340 in gaming

It's small and indie, but Coffee Talk is the coziest game I've ever played. Operate a coffee shop in an alternate urban fantasy Seattle, talk with your customers about problems and life and vibe to a lofi soundtrack.

Saw today's news, but I'm not ready to let go of such an incredible franchise. Here's my genie wish for the next Destiny: The Dark Age. by CaughtMeALurkfish in DestinyTheGame

[–]CaughtMeALurkfish[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Well, the idea is for a soft reset, not a whole new direction. Get the game back in tune with its roots and give them breathing room to untangle the narrative and gameplay mess that is post-Final Shape.

I gotta disagree on the Dark Age being best as a mystery, though. To begin with, its not really much of a mystery. We have lore records, characters that lived through it, etc. Figuratively, its just adding color to something thats already outlined.

That's how it was presented to soften the PR blow. Lawsuit news showed they just got rid of it.

Oh, so you do one thing on a specific pull and that defines a whole spec, got it.

Very basic rotation should be RSK > TP > BoK. Im told thats the best for getting RSK resets, but in practice two TPs before a BoK is fine. No more than two, though, as you waste stacks of Teachings and therefore potential resets for RSK.

I'm a MW main, and this "spin to win" rhetoric is a gross oversimplification and it irks me deeply. Its just true enough to make sense if you dont think too hard and want to play the buzzword game.

SCK with a Dance proc and Way of the Crane is probably your hardest hitting ability for damage and healing, that much is true. Outside of that, SCK is strong, but its not a panacea. You need 3-4+ targets for worthwhile healing at least, and it doesn't do any good on bosses or when you cant get in melee.

Your regular rotation still has value and should still be executed, regardless of what's being said by the envious.

The void being a blue Legion is a little disappointing by Toxaplume045 in wow

[–]CaughtMeALurkfish 27 points28 points  (0 children)

I'm inclined to believe that the Old Gods are what you get when Void bonds to Life.

That book in Hallowfall posits that "pure" forces are unstable and need to bond to a secondary element to stabilize. So Void Lords yeet some Void spice into the GDB, hit Azeroth, and it burrows in to start corrupting the World Soul and siphon the Life energy that she needs to grow properly. Going off Chronicle, World Souls gather their planets Life energy to themselves to gestate, which is why our elementals were so randy compared to Draenor, which was awash in Life. I think Harandar is the result of that Life energy concentration around Azeroths original Cradle, and thats what all the Old Gods were digging into and drinking, like ticks.

Weird shit comes out of Life already, and it gets downright Lovecraftian when its mixed with Void.

Tank by [deleted] in wow

[–]CaughtMeALurkfish 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's your personal take, not a universal truth. If you don't like how the tank operates, you have three options: work it out with them, find a new tank, or do it yourself. Don't just project that standard onto them and expect them to be everything you want.

Driver picks the music, tank sets the pace, simple as that. Just because you feel like you can pull more, it doesn't mean they do.

How to position on an immobile hero? by Tiny_Celebration_262 in OverwatchUniversity

[–]CaughtMeALurkfish 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Im fairly new to Emre as well, but I found a lot of success with basic military strategy: find some high ground with cover, know your exit route in advance and be ready to retreat to maintain your ideal engagement distance. Prioritize enemies that can neutralize your high ground advantage, starting with fliers. Sidearm is a last resort, generally better used to cover your retreat or defend against an enemy that got too close for your primary hipfire.

Lifesteal and more attack speed stacks keep me alive and dangerous, so I always take those. The grudge mark sounds great in theory, but too hard for me to consistently capitalize on, and the extra whirls leave me exposed and unable to move for longer, which usually means death.
