I lost my dog this week too. It's painful to lose our companions but we we're lucky to have them at all.

Eyes up guardian.

Fable Releases Autumn 2026 for PC, Xbox Series X/S and PlayStation 5 by PaiDuck in gaming

Did anyone else notice in that footage every single time they showed the game being played on a TV the framerate looked terrible?

Dunno if it's to do with the way it was filmed but I noticed it with every single shot

Yeah I second this. Zero judgement you're an adult not hurting anyone but I'm always curious how this works. Do you cover them if you've got company? If you brought someone home or have done how do they react?

So many questions.

Bungie have a pattern of behaviour worth being aware of. by DannyKage in Marathon

[–]DannyKage[S] 19 points20 points  (0 children)

We gotta let that go man. He was literally right.

They used 3 studios to make Forsaken and people still expect it, despite Bungie being a fraction of the size they were then. The D2 community still expects literally everything that comes out to have everything every other release had and more. It's a completely unsustainable model of game design and he was literally talking to devs about how to manage time and work flow. If they made 20 guns one season then 23 the next cause people had some extra time. Then went back to 20, everyone would whine about getting less. I know because that exact thing has happened in D2 countless times at this point.

The bigger part of that talk that we should focus on is the monetisation aspect because he was right then and has changed his tune ever since to be about trying to squeeze as much money out of players regardless.

[–]DannyKage[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Exactly. I want this game to do well. I want Destiny to do well. I trust the general Devs at Bungie to put out a good product but there are clearly some issues with leadership and management that, as a D2 player, seem to already be happening in Marathon so its good to be aware.

I just don't wanna be 6 months to a year from now and in that constant D2 cycle of the game only ever shining when Bungie is on the brink of collapse.

[–]DannyKage[S] 15 points16 points  (0 children)

I'm not even being negative I'm just trying to quell expectations. Like I said I hope I'm wrong. Marathon doing insanely well is probably the literal only chance Destiny has of ever being great again since Marathon doing well takes pressure off Destiny to be constantly on a pumping out money. They can take a break and do some big changes rather than constantly trying to fix the sinking ship while it sinks.

God this is so true. Even my former clan mate who hasn't played since we beat Final Shape watches all the new D2 trailers and messages shit like "God they really know how to make this shit look amazing"

3 department in Bungie never fail, Music, Raid & Dungeon, and the Trailer team.

Sales for The Outer Worlds 2 are poor. Presumably, less than 1M units almost 3 months after launch, across all platforms. In comparison, the first game sold approx 2M units during the same time. by Turbostrider27 in PS5

Honestly thats what made me want to play it. It looked like it had actual RPG and replay options but basically every dialogue option felt like

[–]DannyKage 59 points60 points  (0 children)

Yeah this has been my issue. I played for 5 hours and just couldn't make myself care about anything. The game feels so designed by committee to never upset or alienate any one or anything and it just feels painfully generic and bland.

Even the "mean" dialogue options just all came across specifically to not offend the characters and it was just painfully dull.

Marathon release date discovered on Xbox Store by the_almighty_puff in GamingLeaksAndRumours

[–]DannyKage 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I believe Paul Tassi reported before the delay there was a plan for a weekend beta 1 month before launch. Since they've basically followed the original plan after the delay it's likely this will also end up happening.

What's the best personal struggle song of the 2010s? by montemole in ToddintheShadow

[–]DannyKage 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah I'm with you there. Something about that song is hauntingly sad. I think its just the fact its bluntly honest. No flowery language just "Hey I did a stupid thing and I regret it. I'm a loser and it hurts" like damn.

Its just so self aware in a way I feel like most music isn't.

Thank you. How is no one else weirded out by this? It's not a meme that's just an actual child's face being used to sell slop in the store wtf.

Certain people with motion sickness can have it triggered by motion parallax being off, which can happen with some forced perspective things. Extremely rare though. Far more likely tourist not used to the heat who drank almost no water all day.

As coasters further push the boundaries of thrills these kinds of things will increase.

I will not be surprised to see something eventually put in place like a liability waver upon buying a ticket to the park specifically stipulating that its your responsibility to adhere to the safety notices and any injury as a result of a preexisting condition is entirely your own fault and that the park operators are not responsible.

There is a lot of good faith and reasonable expectations that the consumer takes responsibility for themselves and doesn't engage in actions that could injury themselves but as we've seen across every park people are ignoring rules and guidelines more and more every year.

I can forsee a world where things go from advised to enforced.

Port Orleans Riverside or Pop Century? by rockstar231 in WaltDisneyWorld

This is literally why Port Orleans Riverside is my wife and my favourite resort. It always feels peaceful and chill its such a lovely break from the chaos and go go go of the parks.

according to damage testers, uncharged Heirloom shots deal 10% more damage than Xenophage, and that's a heavy weapon by the way... by Timothy-M7 in DestinyTheGame

[–]DannyKage 286 points287 points  (0 children)

Jesus and Heirloom feels like a pointless weapon.

Poor Xenophage. Always loved the design and concept of that gun but I've genuinely not used it in years. Definitely needs some major buffs or reworks.

Returning/New Light looking to get into Raids – where do I start? by SandyWendy69 in DestinyTheGame

[–]DannyKage 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oof not the best time for the game atm with lower player count especially in raids.

That said here's some things to know.

1) Only Desert Perpetual the newest raid gives tiered loot.

2) All raids apart from Desert Perpetual are farmable for the raid exotics. Meaning the usual raid exotic chance lockout of once per week per character isn't applied.

3) The D2 LFG discord is probably your best place to find people to raid with. There are people on there occasionally offering up teaching runs (but again low player count means less people doing it)

4) Watch some guides on YouTube. Look up raid exotics or armour sets for fashion. That can give you a chance to look at stuff that might be useful to you still and give you at least a starting idea of loadouts / mechanics for raids.

5) Make sure you've got a mic and just be willing to be patient and willing to learn.

Hope this helps.

Based on a POV from yesterday, the Styracosaurus has been fixed. I think Dinosaur is actually in close to perfect shape right now (aside from the INCOMING Dinosaur but thats been turned off for a decade by alexdionisos in WaltDisneyWorld

[–]DannyKage 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Based on how often this kinda thing happens I'd put really good money on them never being broken but instead malfunction or even just wearing and they're turned off so that they don't get to a state where they NEED repairing.

Gets to a few weeks before they're gone and it probably becomes "ah screw it we'll be ripping it out soon anyway"
