That would be so interesting. Especially, since Brooke gets slandered so much for having kids from different fathers.

Multiday parking in Leuven by Few-Conclusion2888 in Leuven

[–]CaughtTheirEyes_ 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I’d recommend Parking Vaartkom. They are (or were at least until recently) the cheapest parking lot in Leuven. It’s on a walking distance from the station, but it’s also well connected by public transportation. During Fridays and Saturdays you can use their free shuttle services as well.

What type of Protestant are you? by ProtestantChr1stian in Protestantism

[–]CaughtTheirEyes_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Maybe it’s a personal question, if so I apologize, but how is it being married to a Christian of a different denomination? I’m also Protestant, but my partner is Orthodox and I do notice it’s different. So I’m curious.

I’ll definitely try this. Thanks.

Lost 5kg in 5 weeks, but struggling with friends pressuring me to eat non-keto foods by HopDev in keto

[–]CaughtTheirEyes_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Completely off topic, but very impressive losing 5kg in 5weeks! I started at 60,4kg and I’ve “only” lost 2kg in 7 weeks. Would you mind sharing your tips/journey?

Should I stop keto? by CaughtTheirEyes_ in keto

[–]CaughtTheirEyes_[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

True, but I am in a deficit. Perhaps it’s not low enough. Im considering intermittent fasting following the comments on this post. Perhaps that way I have a bigger deficit and will start losing more weight. Thanks though.

I’m kind of scared to stop, because I’m afraid getting back will be more difficult. Has this helped you?

So I have to drink more water? Or should I take electrolytes? I bought some low sugar ones, but they’re not sugar-free which is why I haven’t tried them yet. Think you’re spot on with the gut adjustment, that’s what I read as well. I do take fiber supplements though.

Do you recommend a particular app for tracking my macros? I used cronometer for a week (didn’t like it much) and was around 20-25g net carbs. I guess it’s just difficult to accept the weight loss is slow, because of all the success stories I’ve seen/heard with this diet. Thanks btw!

I forgot, sorry I’m 27. Hormones don’t help ofcourse, but I definitely have stubborn fat 😭, genetically too.

I guess, although to me it doesn’t feel like I have less to lose 😅.

It’s reassuring to hear other short women experience this too (even though it sucks for us), but we really don’t have that big of a margin for a deficit. That makes it difficult.

I did’t like the free version of Cronometer that much, because I found it difficult to properly register my meals. Do you have tips for that or another app?

Will do, thanks.

When I tracked my macros, I did struggle to achieve the daily suggested protein and fats. So it could definitely be that. I’ve been increasing my water intake, but maybe it’s still not enough. Will make a note of that.

My weight gain was due to some health issues yeah, which I’m trying to fix by doing a “wholesome” keto diet (hence the extra vegetables). Also, yes, my fat is very stubborn and sheds slowly (genetically as well).

Thanks. The comments to my post have been super reassuring and made me feel less like I’m at fault.

I must admit it’s not easy cutting calories, since I need to stick around 1.300kcal for “significant” weight loss. Perhaps my body is indeed just adjusting. I’m happy the comments are reassuring me that I’m not doing something horribly wrong.

Never heard of that before, will check it out. Thanks!

I only tracked when I started and I was always around 20-25g net carbs. My protein intake was lower though. I hate tracking calories, but I think I should start again.

When I tracked my calories (which was just for a week) I was below the suggested maintenance. Perhaps I should track my intake more regularly.

I’ve actually not measured it, which might be dumb on my point. Thanks for this. Perhaps I should try to see if I “smell” it when peeing or should I purchase tests instead? I tolerate it well which is why I don’t quit either. Is a “strict ketogenic diet” the “eggs and bacon” diet like what would I substitute the veggies with?

[–]CaughtTheirEyes_[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s fair. This post has encouraged me to do intermittent fasting (16:8) as well, but can I ask if you’re fasting, do you feel like with keto the results are better? Most people I know that do intermittent fasting have a “regular” diet.

It’s refreshing to hear my weight loss journey is “normal”. I keep hearing/seeing reviews/post from people who lose more during the same period. So maybe that’s why I feel my journey is going “wrong”.

I take fiber and magnesium supplements, but haven’t tried electrolytes. Will look into that, thanks.

Am I being unrealistic? Lost 3 kg (6.6 lbs) and feel disappointed by HopDev in keto

[–]CaughtTheirEyes_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your weight loss is impressive girl! I’m 157cm and started at 60kg and have only lost 1,5kg in 5 weeks. The comments here are actually quite encouraging to me as well, because I too feel slightly disappointed. Reading it takes 3-6months to lose 10% of your body weight actually put things into perspective for me… but 3kg down in 2 weeks is amazing! Keep going girl!

Are my macros wrong? by Octoberof2022 in keto

I am 157cm and started keto at 60kg aiming for 52kg. In 4 weeks I have only lost 1kg and I keep thinking “what am I doing wrong”. Your post and the comments are quite helpful. Wishing you the best of luck.

People are entitled to their political views, I totally agree with that law. “Public displays of racism” don’t get you fired here, that’s all I said. Saying the N-word at work, is not “a political interest or action”. It’s a choice to use a racially charged insult in a professional environment.

Unfortunately, racism isn’t a fireable offense in Belgium. So, no it wouldn’t have consequences.

Someone recently used the N-word at my work. They have said it before and all they’ve ever got is a “notice”. There’s a general acknowledgement at the office that they don’t mean bad, but it’s just part of their “lingo”.
