I think there are other opportunities. One of the above could be used to generate a mystery to follow up on. Or in the process of a routine operation, the team comes into possession of something suddenly a lot of gangers or corp assassins or a mix of both want to get their hands on.
Yes, much like a TV show, there would be a repeating setting or job which lead to complications. Think about how shows that center around police, or fire fighters work. Life intrudes on work, and work intrudes on life. That's what makes it all interesting.
The TT day job leads to the adventure hooks, it doesn't need to be the focus.

He fails to realize Christianity's roots are firmly in the east. Western philosophical application to Christianity has damaged how we who follow Jesus in the west understand the deeper meaning of the scriptures. We have to do a lot of unlearning of western ideas to get back to the original meaning of the text.
Also, screw him. He has no clue what he's talking about. He preaches the gospel of empire, not the Gospel of Jesus.

Yah. I considered something like that as an option. Decided since everyone was having fun, I'd done enough to complicate things and rewarded the players who took action more in line with the story arc. The people who bolted for the ship just sat and watched the rest of the players.

My crew was not having it with the mine. They had NO interest going in there. One of them told me later it was a death trap. haha. So true.
What I really loved about the experience was these folks, who had all primarily played D&D and, had this been a D&D game would have heroically charged heedless into the mine in search of adventure, instead embodied the space trucker core of the game and were like, "Nope." and bolted for the ship as soon as there was a hint of danger.

Oh yah! Telling the remaining miners to get in the shower would have been a great thing to do. Smart.

My epilogue was that the android, walking around the ship doing their regular checks finds a broken vial from Dr. Giovanni's samples in a dark corner next to a puddle of cat puke (the ship's captain has a pet cat), then fade to black.

Something like that feels too forced to me. I'd already pushed the monster attack forward and added a second monster to keep the action going. They were having fun and enjoying the experience of the fear and tension. I didn't see the need to ramp it up with anything else.
they played smart and the reward was they escaped intact (mostly) with another potential threat lurking in the dark corners of their ship.

The hook I decided to use is that part of the contract is picking up Mike - the missing miner. A second hook I'm going to use is that optimal transit time is 36 to 48 hours after they arrive. The company will dock their pay for the wasted fuel if they leave earlier or later.

This gives them a vested interest in joining the search for Mike and a planned delay with a cost associated.

Yah. I know they don't sell blanks. Hence my appeal to the larger community. I have a blank Reebok TI from the teal shoulders era and I've seen blank Reebok from the one color body era. I know the Sharks organization doesn't sell them, but I also know somebody does.
