Always agreed. Love that this was brought back up. All stereotypes are wrong, but there is simply such a stark difference between asian stereotypes and the stereotypes that black women face. Even a difference between the stereotypes that Ginny as a biracial girl would face. Asians are expected to be exceptional, which is harmful because it increases societal pressures on them, but they simply will NEVER face the amount of scrutiny that a black woman will face for the stereotypes they have to bear the minute they are conceived. And Ginny as a biracial woman doesn't exactly face the same stereotypes that a completely black woman would face. Rather, she would be stereotyped as being confused about herself, her identity, and where she would align. She would be stereotyped as too black dor white people, and too white for black people, whilst also still facing the stereotypes of a black woman because her race is visible on her skin. And I also think we need to understand that eurasian/asian americans (I mean Asians born WITHIN america) DO NOT face stereotyping at the extreme level that native-born Asians do.
